Starfield - Bethesda's new space IP: will probably be full of fun and easily trackable bugs

How do you think Starfield will turn out?

Looks like barely anyone is even bothering to play the new DLC. Only a slight bump above normal numbers and (embarrassingly) lower than Skyrim at time of writing. I bet Microsoft are really happy with their $7.5 billion purchase.
There won't be a bump because I think the majority of players are probably ones who already had the DLC bought from the special edition.

The one Russian guy at Constellation is pitch black. Apparently at Bethesda they take the term "potato nigger" seriously.
From what I saw, the Black Varuun don't even talk with an accent.

At least Vlad had a slavic esque accent.

At this point would people even be excited for elder scrolls 6?
I knew there was no hope for it after the disaster that Skyrim turned out to be(worse yet, how much normalfags ate it up for whatever reason).
When there was little more than that teaser trailer shown for TES6(if you want to call the logo reveal as much), I knew it was truly over since if there was any work done, any at all, they would have shown off more.
Right now, with current "eternal team B" Bethesda? Absolutely not, and at this point we might see Microsoft enacting some strict changes to ensure we don't get another Starfield out of it.

I'd be more excited for Microsoft to hand the IP over to other studios, even Obsidian at this point, to make spin offs tbqh.

I'm a Skyrim fag, and this shit has gotten too fucking generic and lame for me. I get the whole "you gotta use your imagination a little" thing that a lot of gamers have lost, but holy shit Starfield is nothing but "figure it out/make it up yourself" based on everything I've read about this DLC.

I guess this should have been the logical conclusion when Fallout 76 came out with absolutely no NPCs. I gave Starfields development being a complete shit show way too much credit for how bare bones the story was. It's obvious at this point this shit isnt just Emil being a shit writer, it's straight up intentional.

You didn't keep it simple, stupid. You made it retarded, faggot. You mirf'd it.

It's something people will want to happen, so it won't. What will actually happen is that TES VI will release and fail to meet sale expectations, at which point Microsoft will just shut Bethesda down and TES and Fallout will become yet another two IPs corporations sit on and do nothing with.

I just found out that Pete Hines was retired from Bethesda shortly before Starfield came out last year. I'd say that can't be a coincidence but their PR somehow got even worse after his departure. They went from "Lol I don't care about the lore and neither should you" to ChatGPT responses to negative Steam reviews.

If I had known this beforehand, I wouldn't have bought it. I knew Emil was a sped involved, but something in me hoped he'd get a designated retard cubicle. I was so eager for another Morrowind or Oblivion type of experience.

I regret purchasing Starfield so much that I wish I could sneak into their office and steal an office chair to make up for what I gave them for their shit tier game.

Does anyone know if you can kill the annoying lesbians with an enby daughter in the game DLC?

Emil is like a boomer politician. He is going to hold onto his position as lead writer at Bethesda Slopworks until someone more powerful forces him out.

The fact that is was already $5 off on Newegg a week after launch should have been a red flag but the presence of actual skills and a Skyrim style dialogue gave me a false sense of hope early on.

Playing through, I knew I'd have at least one question going through my head as I played. I expected it would be "Why isn't this stuff in the base game", but as I got further along it became "how in the hell did this take a year to come out?" Between most of the clothing and weapons being reskins, no new ship parts, maybe three new enemies, and Va'ruun's whole characterization feeling as bare-bones as Freestar and the UC, I'm struggling to figure out why this took so long. At this point, I'd rather they just took Bethesda out back and shuttered them, it's become obvious they can't even match Mothership Zeta or Operation: Anchorage in quality.

All they had to fucking do was make New Vegas in space, maybe rip off some of the aesthetic from Star Wars, maybe throw in a little cosmic horror or something a la Mass Effect, but they can't fucking do anything right.
Bethesda (i.e. Todd) fucking hates New Vegas so much they retconned it out in the shitty Fallout TV show. There's no way they'd ever entertain making something as good as NV in a Genuine Bethesda Product(tm).

I wanted to play this slop for myself, but Starfield: Shattered Space started stuttering and then made my computer completely crash. It took like half an hour for it to reboot and make sure everything was okay.

Oof, I'm thinking most Bethesda fans are done with Starfield.

Camelworks usually gets ~100k views for his videos. Is anyone making Starfield content and getting more than 10k views?

Can I just ask what was going through your head to make you in any way excited for Starfield? It was obviously going to be dog shit from the very first showcase.
