Starfield - Bethesda's new space IP: will probably be full of fun and easily trackable bugs

How do you think Starfield will turn out?

Apparently there is a new "crew member" in the DLC, take a random guess which of these two it is and which one it isn't.

The idea that there is a collective air of "toxic positivity" in a lot of these modern studios is beginning to track, considering that no one actually actively listens to people who give a shit about the product and actually want it to succeed. Anyone who offers such is quickly and quietly dismissed as being a "chud", or an istaphobe.

It's time to pack up and leave behind a lot of gaming to the winds, boys. The people who've made these studios what they were have long since left their respective companies. I'm not even looking forward to Elder Scrolls VI anymore. I'm going to actively avoid it. I'm legitimately fucking done. Let me have my past games and older entertainment. This shit isn't even worth making fun of anymore. It's rather sad and pathetic how cucked everyone in this industry has become.

Oh boy
Even Mothership Zeta had something positive about it. Is there any silver linings here within Shattered Space that makes it worthwhile or did we officially reach that low point where we're going to be nostalgic about the lolwhacky Alien DLC?
having just put 20 hours into it I think some of the side quests are quite good and the handmade explorable area around the city is also quite good, overall I think the negativity is a harsh knee jerk reaction from people expecting something different
its absolutely better than mothership zeta, for me I’d put it around dragonborn in a ranking of Bethesda DLCs
my review is as follows:
Decent side quests
good unique explorable area
the two unique guns it does add feel like they add something to the basegame weapons
main story is not very good and quite short, I think they could have made it better by forcing you to do 3 side quests at one point because they were a better experience
also the new dungeons are better than most of the basegame ones
no new ship parts or land vehicles is annoying
only 1 actually new space suit and only 2 actually new weapons
My overall rating is 6.5/10

This sounds like the kind of expansion that should have been shit out 3-4 months after launch. What happened?

my guess is dev resources were split more between TES6, as well as the other updates starfield has received
I can't imagine the car they added was particularly easy.
BGS is quite small for a AAA dev so I imagine resources could get stretched thin quickly

Shouldn't have been hard considering that Frontier beat them to it by several years on an infinitely inferior engine, and there were other vehicle mods before this. The spaceship system seems to be more advanced as well and that was available on launch.
Considering how big the shoes were that SS was supposed to fill, I would say it still failed. Imagine how much shit Cyberpunk would still be getting if not only did CDPR not follow up with a 2.0 update but also never released Phantom Liberty

bethesda was never going to release a PL sized DLC with less than half the dev team in under half the time with a way smaller budget, anyone expecting that i think was just retarded

people were already declaring the game was saved when the anime released before PL and 2.0, I disagree

It's a normal sized AAA studio, at least compared to the dozen random AAA teams I checked. If anything, it's gargantuan studios like Rockstar, Bungie, and Blizzard that are abnormal in size. You also gotta remember that BGS more than doubled in size between FO4 and 76 and almost quadrupled by Starfield, so they absolutely were small, just not currently.

I'm talking about actual gamers, not weebs and paid shills
I’m honestly hoping that GTA 6 is the story of a strong latix queen that teaches us that the Orange Man is bad and beats the heckin’ racist chuds and Rockstar lose so much money the devs have to create OnlyFans to feed themselves.
Let's be honest, there is so much hype and desperation build around this game that it could be a piece of shit and it will still make bank. Then Online 2 will open up, probably on release day, and the shark cards will make up the cost of the entire product. I cannot see any way R* fucks this one up unless they do something so colossally stupid I can't even fathom it right now.

The only two things I could reasonably see happening is either a delay, though I'd bet Take Two is cracking the whip like never before, or expectations for the game spiral out of control, akin to CP2077.

I watched a family member play the DLC. He landed on the planet, got greeted by a shitton of armed security, tried to kill them but they all just fell down since they were essential even though you can reset the whole universe. I decided then and there that they actually didn't learn shit.

Also this DLC is really hard to look at. What is it with modern soy faggot devs and purple?
