They're mad Eve isn't a twink like Nier:Automata and it shows. In fact, outside of Adam and that old man, I don't remember seeing any potentially important male characters in any trailer
 
Something about the political reception to the game is bothering me.

It's a Sony exclusive, even though Sony was willing to burn down all their Japanese studios in favour of wokeness.

IGN condemned the character design, only to issue an apology and retraction.

I think Digital Foundry went from hating the game just for having a sexy main character to being neutral?

I don't get it. Usually when the woke left pick a target they attack it and keep on attacking it, even if it's detrimental to do so. The same is true for Steller Blade on Twitter and ResetEra, but those in a professional capacity start attacking it, then it's as if they're called off. By who and for what reason, I have no idea.

Hogwarts also sold like fucking crazy and was a massive success whether these fags like it or not.

Also, it was a SINGLE PLAYER GAME, not some shitty live service abomination, so it's not like it's getting constant new updates or anything. Once again these people demonstrate they don't understand how video games work.

It's also not exactly trying to be Elden Ring where half the fun is the lore. It's an open world game with a lot of collectibles from a company that traditionally hasn't made those sorts of games. Frankly, the fact it both sold and scored so well is a miracle.

Rise of the Ronin was also a Sony exclusive, albeit not marketed worth a dick, and was suspiciously not woke even a little. Someone at Sony must be pulling some strings to get these games off the ground.

My schizo theory for why there isn't as much whining as one might expect is because journos are cluing in to the fact that spite success is very real and that if they want this game to flop they're better off taking a lukewarm approach couches in more neutral language, rather than just blasting the game for having a sexy lady in it.

If you give it a six because it's boring, you are more likely to make it fail than if you give it a five for having boobs.

Love service and social media has broken people's minds with how they view the success of a videogame. They think if a game isn't actively being played by 1 million people for the rest of time and clips aren't appearing every single time they open X or whatever the fuck then the game is an utter failure.

Sorry but it sold millions, people played through everything over the course of a month or two and discussed everything that needed to be discussed, then they were done. That's just how shit is.

I think it is worse than that, they know what they're saying, but i fully believe there's an agenda to push the idea that all videogames have to be live service, that's the reason why articles like "Elden/Palworld/Hogwarts Legacy lost 90% of players!" exist, to push the idea that gamers only need to play 3 o 4 games for their entire lives, and of course to make expend all their money in all kinds of microtransactions in the meantime.

There's people in the industry who loathe the idea of making a game that players only have to pay for once, so they'll try push live services as much as they can, even if most people don't really like them.

I agree, but I think the motive is different.

Elden Ring, Palworld, and Hogwarts were all seen as anti-woke. I'm told that's not true for Hogworts, but as far as the lefties are concerned, Hogwarts is TERF simulator. They were all massive hits despite the left needing them to fail. It's like when the Joker movie came out and the press were all but begging for a mass shooting.

Sorry for being a broken record, but people bragging about the drop off of Palworld making it a "dead game" while not applying that same standard to games like Saints Row Reboot, Last of Us 2, and Suicide Squad makes it seem this is more politics/ideology driven.


I was watching Side Scrollers where they had a pro SBI dev on, and he kept making the same argument that games need to be live service. That the business model of making a game and putting it out for gamers to buy doesn't work any more. Again, a simple look at Elden Ring, Hogworts, and Armoured Core 6 show that the one-and-done game can work as a business model. It's just another arse cover for wokeshit selling like wokeshit.

Why do I get the feeling that people that chimp out against these games/TV shows/movies/etc, for "being problematic", are doing so in hopes that a World Leader, i.e. Biden, Trudeau, Macron, Kishida, Lai, Yoon, Putin, Xi, Kim, Zelensky, Erdogan, Barbeque, Klaus, Soros, Maduro, Netanyahu, Albanese, Modi, Lula, Boric, speaks out against that said "harmful" media, and bans it in an "Emergency Act"? And I wouldn't imagine how hard those whiners would jizz themselves, if that were to actually happen.

And I'd expect they'd hope for the opposite to happen, i.e. if Biden were to proclaim that something like The Last of Us Part II is a needed thing in order to protect Democracy (and it would definitely be a thing that Biden would actually say), and that anyone who does not like it, is automatically guilty of Treason.

Sony needs a win and some cash, so they probably tell their journalist peons to cool it until after they've made their sales, and I guess fags like DF who want to break into the industry so bad follow suit like good boys.

More on the strange goings on around the game. ResetEra, who were strongly against the game, are now singing the praises of Tachy.

All I've found to go on is this trailer, and I fail to see a reason why this second character is an empowering feminist character and the other is sexist misogyny for incels that is literally killing women.
