Nah, as it was pointed out earlier Shift Up does this on their own. They did it to Nikke, the early designs were great when they first announced it and then come Closed Beta they start to censor characters even into release; coats covering butts, ult screens being changed, spats, leg placements, etc.. Then they did it again during Christmas with Christmas Rupee and then again during a swimsuit event, they seriously put a t-shirt over the best one and you can sort of see what the original outfit was through a tap animation. They actually sicced their attorneys on leakers and threatened to sue them for everything they owned because God forbid the consumer be informed. Hell, one such censorship actually fucked up the leg when they changed its placement to hide her crotch. It was so blatantly a last minute change before release of the character, even the normies noticed it. Shift Up does it for free, bros.

They had gotten better, but I still expected this. And it confirms my memories that they reduced jiggle effects for Stellar Blade from the very first announcement trailer of Project Eve to the announcement that it would be a Sony exclusive. People even said the boobs look reduced from then, too, so that's probably true as well. Shift Up just wears down as it goes. They supposedly lost the guy behind Destiny Child's art and he said so long as he was at Shift Up there'd be no censorship. Guess that turned out to be true.

I was almost certain that a censorship patch was incoming following the "Hard R" nonsense, so while this isn't completely unexpected it's still frustrating and disappointing to see them censor the game like this before it's even released. Goddammit.
This leaves Bloodborne as the only game worth considering spending my money on.

While it could be worse, this is still disappointing.
Let's hope they don't cave in to further demands.

Less than 5 seconds into the trailer you can see Eve's ass straight up Bounce. Looking at the PS5 demo though, it's much harder to notice it. Furthermore, I can't help but note that the outfit she was wearing here in the trailer isn't anywhere in the outfit showcase in the last page, which has me wondering if they got rid of it or if they're re-packaging it as dlc. Another thing I consider worth pointing out is that the game punishes you for wearing the skin suit. According to the developer, if you wear the skin suit, you'll take more damage because it disables the shields that give you damage reduction.

This is the third time in recent memory where a game has had a retroactive censorship patch. The first was FF7R where they censored Tifa's cleavage, second was the Tomb Raider I-III Remaster that removed several pin ups of Lara, and from what I've heard, also shrunk her breasts. Now there's this.
Alright, fuck this. I'll just wait until the game comes to pc and for modders to fix everything, then grab a pirated copy. In the meantime, I'm going to try playing my pirated copies of the Bayonetta trilogy, see how it goes.

What upsets me the most is that Nikke was touted as the Last Origin for global - because if you've seen the character designs in that game you'll understand why it will never leave Korea unscathed, hoo-ha! I mean, even Japan got a censored version - and then they just slowly degenerated from being degenerates. Hell, even Nexon reversed their censorship decision for global because the feminists there picked a fight with them - not being political, that's basically what happened and it led to a whole corruption scheme being uncovered in their video game regulatory agency, such a crazy ride - and they were like, "FINE! If we have to have two versions in Korea, we might as well have two for everyone!" so they uncensored Blue Archive for everyone else.

Shift Up didn't even try to do that. They never once tried to raise the age rating for the 12+ game... which is disturbing that we're letting gacha addiction hit kids that young. That's a whole 'nother thread, though. I doubt they'll ever reverse their decision here and at best you'll likely have to wait for the PC release for mods or a modded emulation. Some people are coping on the NG+ having the alternate costumes and they just swapped them around, but we'll see. I haven't seen anyone having unlocked them yet so if anyone is waffling on whether to keep their pre-order you can wait to see how that turns out before refunding. Just don't play the game until then.

Lies of P is okay but it could never scratch the Bloodborne itch. Vindictus: Defying Fate is one of those MMOs I mentioned. The usual pump-and-dump MMOs that would see service for a few years, only to be ignored, turned into F2P P2W garbage and bought by another company to run down to the ground. The original Vindictus, Aion and Tera all were like this.

I generally like to defend the game but you are right. From the companions at the start of the game, you have three conventionally attractive men, one attractive woman, and two monster girls. Though at least everyone is young and athletic in the vanilla game... mods are another story.
