Users finding more censorship via "day one patch". Literal criminal fraud via bait and switch based on explicit promises of "no censorship". Oh to be a State Attorney General right now:

The "it" @Grummz is referring to is the patch that removed various pinups from a locker room in Tomb Raider Remastered.
Yes, he is capable of getting action.
This is now 2 substantive changes from major franchises and he's working on Stellar Blade now.

All things considered, I am enjoying what I've played so far. Part of that is cope for buying the DD Edition, but it is legitimately a solid game
Reminder to cancel your Playstation+ and tell them it's for the censorship of this game.

ShiftUp feeling the heat and knowing what's up.

Cancelling Playstation Plus gives Kim leverage when dealing with SOYny over this:

That is neat.

Sadly, there is no push in the other direction of this woke DEI agenda, so reactionary action like this is all gamers have.

They also censored the gore with the 1.01 patch where the blood no longer splashes Eve as much, although looking at the picture I don't think it splashes her at all in the patched version.
I'm actually more bothered by the gore change though. I might still get it if they roll that back.
Having started the game and seeing this reduced blood while presumably on 1.0 (with disc and disconnection from the internet), I believe I have a practical explanation for this difference.

In the demo, that deathblow on the boss is the very end of the offered gameplay, cutting immediately to a video trailer and then kicking you out to the main menu. Because of this specific circumstance, the consistent appearance of EVE no longer matters, thus allowing for blood splatter to be ramped up freely.

Comparatively, in the full game, the deathblow is immediately followed by brief words between EVE and Adam before transitioning back into regular gameplay. Within seconds before that talking, the reduced blood splatter fades away as EVE basks in the light rain. Thus by the time gameplay kicks back in, EVE is in pristine condition as usual. This is critical as I don't think there's ever been previous indication of dynamic blood splatter on the player-character as a gameplay feature, similar to Space Marine. Probably would be harder to do well given the variety of EVE's outfits and the different materials they entail, this particular cutscene just being a special case since at this point EVE is limited to two very-similar bodysuits. While it is obviously possible to have kept the more-intense blood splatter from the demo and have it fade out in the cutscene all the same, I suspect the devs considered it to be too visually jarring for that amount of blood to vanish so quickly.

So there you have it. Rather than this being a target censorship on violence, I rather suspect this is just visual direction conforming to on-character blood splatters not being a feature of normal gameplay. But feel free to adjust your complaints or concerns accordingly about not being able to run around with EVE caked in blood.

I realize the optics of this whole debacle makes us look like dumb coomers but it's not about the sex appeal. Not really.

It's about why is it okay for malformed freaks and hideous character models to have fully rendered bareback sex, but an attractive woman wearing something skimpy is too far?

Why did Baldurs Gate get applauded for selling itself on bear sex but a fully clothed anime girl's butt is worth labeling entire countries as misogynistic?

Its about how the gaming industry is controlled but talking about it is a cardinal sin and must be censored.

Anyone reducing all this ramble to "crying over 3D models" is an asshole.

While changes are real, I can't help feel more exploited by outrage baiters on Youtube than Sony. When I saw what was changed I literally laughed an unsubbed from the channel that was so upset about it. Because I thought the changes looked better and made her look less of a whore while still being extremely revealing.

Remember, these are the same people who blindly supported the very mid, at best, Hogwarts Legacy because it upset the woke mob even after discovering it had a trans character in it. But a fairly good character action game is bad because it doesn't show all of the T&A; just most of it.

Besides, all this nonsense is taking all the oxygen from the real problems with the game: Having to hit square to revive and having to skip cutscenes every time you retry a boss! Unforgivable in this type of game!

And this is the mentality the communist troons want.
So they can destroy your hobby inch by inch.
"oh it's just a little cenosrship"
"oh it's just a new TOS to stop toxicity"

First the trash talk gets banned, making venting frustration in competitive games impossible.
Then they start moving into banning political views so you can't tell fringe troons to shut the fuck up about their paraphelia in in-game chats without being banned.
Forcing people to bottle up their true thoughts, to stand by as what they consider to be lies are uttered around them on pain of expulsion, even in leisure activities, is toxic to the psyche. It's a form of systemic abuse.

Anyway, streamers refusing to day-1 patch are showing what was there before

(this has a video, I for some reason cannot upload or attach the video to this post because it's fucking broken)

Meanwhile, female streamers are being harassed by troons for playing this game.

Timothy Birmingham sounds like a groomer, and Bigfoot Jr. & HavingLotsaFun sounds like they watched too much BLACKED in their cuck shed. Probably the same bots that has a hate-boner against Hogwarts Legacy last year.

This is Revsaysdesu btw (the vtuber guy from the post)

No wonder he has an anime girl as a vtuber. This guy looks like a borderline weeaboo.

I play female toons in games.
I (M) would never cross-dress a vtubing avitar.
The dissonance between what I'm seeing and hearing is disturbing.
As voice chat becomes more and more prevalent I feel compelled to move back to male characters.
Thankfully they're hiring straight women to design males now so at least you get some dapper lads these days to choose from in-game. (males used to be so fucking boring and generic)

From what I found with a quick google search, the game ended up with South Korean AO back before this patch. If adding a tiny bit of fabric somehow got Korean ESRB off their backs, then that seems a lot more of an understandable reason given how crippling getting that rating is. It's also not really uncommon in games or even in other media like movies, things are reduced in intensity to avoid the actually enforced adults only rating all the time. Reading back in this thread a bit it doesn't seem like anyone's brought this up, was this addressed somewhere I just didn't see?

Then release an "adult" version uncensored and a "Mature" version with the extra fabric, like they did with rap CD's to avoid the parental advisory logo.
From what I can tell the "extra fabric" did not impact the rating:

You don't say "we're not censoring", then censor with a day1 patch.

For the record, the ESRB rating was always "M" (technically 17+)

I'm increasingly annoyed that all games have the same version and it's always censored to the lowest age.
There should be legitimately mature versions of every game where the dialog and dress are as the artists intended which is captured by an "adult but not porn" rating. At least that way they could "soften" it for younger audiences without compromising the creative process.
