Stellar Blade / Project Eve Thread - aka Stellar Ass

Another game, another hideous face downgrade.

I only bring this up in this thread because it's impossible not to notice how much of the outrage against Stellar Blade was entirely because Eve wasn't an ugly lesbian.
Reminds me of what happened with that shitty remake of RE2. Model in game looked like a derpy retard.

I think the one thing I really appreciate about the game in retrospective was the Resident Evil esque areas. They weren't exactly good, but were a slight experimentation that change the pacing a bit. Hopefully in a sequel/DLC the gunplay will become better synchronized with the sword gameplay.

For some reason they have no issues when it comes to scanning/modelling male faces. Really makes you thunk.

I like Stellar Blade 10x over Nier Automata. I hate any game where you have to play it multiple times to understand the basic story. I attempted the 2nd play throug hof Nier with 9S and about 2 hours in I remembered, "oh yea, this is why I hated this game. Its so boooooooooooing"

You can pretty much get the whole Stellar Blade story by just playing it once (and watching the other two endings), but it was one of the very few games I replayed on NG+ (you gotta connect to the Internet for the NG+ update, so you do lose the uncensored bunny suit, which sucks a little). It's an honestly good (but hard) game.

I hope someone does hack the PS5 hypervisor one day, so we can see uncensored patches for the full game. I think that's the only situation where I would bother even trying this DLC. Paying for it is likely not worth the price.

I booted the game up the other day and fought Raven a few times in the boss mode. All action games like that should let you just fight bosses whenever you want

Me too. I know it adds replayability but it shouldn't at the cost of requiring full additional playthroughs. Ys Origin pulled the same shit, it was great but I'm not replaying it 3x for the true story.

Boss rush should be a standard mode. I also think chapter select should be a default quality of life inclusion for all games.

I'd say Nier Automata still does it in a good way since the replay is:
1. Very different in gameplay style.
2. Gives a lot more context to events.
3. Doesn't have much (if at all) "tilt analog stick to advance the plot for the next five minutes".
4. Some new sidequests

Definitely better than shit like Bravely Default.

That is good at least, they made it worthwhile as they could. I just got the game so I'll see what I think soon, hopefully it's worth a replay, but that's pretty rare for me.

I'd argue your arguments work for Ys Origin. I put like 80 hours in that game beating it on Nightmare (hardest difficulty) for all 3 characters. Great game.
