It's honestly above average at best.
If shift up hadn't clapped back so forcefully and yelled no, GFY when the DIE crowds started REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE it probably wouldn't have gotten as much press as it did.
Don't get me wrong tho it's good, just not so good you need a PS5 for (especially if you already have a PS4) and keep in mind they did announce it will come to PC in the future.

I know. PS5 is a fucking flop and really nothing jumps out at me to buy it for. The appeal of this since it's a hack and slasher and it's a new IP.

I have Automata and I thought about giving it a new playthrough.

It’s certainly no 10 and it’s not even a 9, but I’d give it a solid 8. It’s a game with SOUL most importantly. Other than space marine 2 I could not think of a better game this year, which is very telling of the state of modern gaming.

I disagree. The game is a good action game with great atmosphere that makes its emotional moments work. You can point at games with better mechanics (that just attracts autists to waste hours on battles they don't enjoy), or DEEP LORE so far in its own ass that people just watch loretubers explain it, and it's a far better game than those.

Is it enough to buy a console? Probably not, but that shouldn't have an impact on the game, and the whole anti PS5 just turns into a gay circlejerk than an actual discussion.

When I played it, I considered it a solid 7/10. Mostly because the initial difficulty curve was really insane. (I was running disconnected from the Internet with the original v1.0 release, because I was pretty sure the updates would fuck it up). The later update do help a lot with the lag/delay issues.

This is one of the few games I played again on NG+ (which required an update, which censored the bunny suit 😡. Red Hood suit is okay, but why fuck with the original?)

There's really a lot to this game. The story has a lot more to it that I missed on the first play through. The first time I chose the "bad" ending because it honestly seemed like the right choice to make.

I'm wondering which assets are going to be used on the PC version (censored vs uncensored). PC is always better as it's far easier to patch/mod the game. Still, I'm glad I played it on the PS5.

As far as the PS5 system, it's meh. I cracked my PS4 pro and I mostly prefer older games before this weird era. I'm just going to leave the PS5 off and hope there's a firmware crack someday. Maybe I should buy a first gen PS5 Pro and leave it in its box, and check the firmware in 3 years.

SM2 is pretty good. Monkey Game was also good. Is this title worth picking up when it goes on sale to like 50%?
