Stellar Blade / Project Eve Thread - aka Stellar Ass

They made an already great game even better.

Yeah I’d say so. It’s definitely a game worth playing. If you like Nier, chances are you’ll love this game.
I agree but they're pretty different in combat. From what little I've played of both (to the first boss in each) I'd say I prefer Nier because it's closer to DMC than Souls, whereas SB is like an easier Souls game (but still way too hard for me on Normal).

Finally got around to beating the elder naytiba and got the second ending for the first time on NG+. Was a little tricky on hard but not too bad. Now I just need to get the bad ending for the platinum and collect the rest of the cosmetics including the Nier stuff. Photo mode is neat and the sidequests involving it also earn your more outfits.

Yeah I do agree on that. Story-wise stellar blade literally just rips from replicant and automata, but gameplay-wise it’s different. I still think it’s fun, but Nier just has much better combat.

I mean just equip a spear in replicant and you won’t wanna stop playing.

I know I'm reviving a dead thread but I just picked this game up knowing nothing about it other than being a Current Year Game that somehow has tits and ass so people hate it for that. And I'm really enjoying it so far. I like the tits and ass and I like the gameplay. I might try to Platinum it.

This is my first souls-like so for all I know this is mid combat compared to something like the chink monkey game but I don't care I like EVE's ass.

I dunno Steller Blade looks kinda mid, it seems like a weird amalgamation of a souls-like and a character action game with some RPG elements and imo the only thing the game really has going for it is coomer stuff.

Not to mention if I were to try it and I did like it for whatever reason there's a very real possibility the sequel, if such a thing ever happens, will be ESG complaint.

So it's a hard pass from me.

PC version dropping earlier than I thought. Nikke outfits look fine. Hoping Mann is either a boss or we fight Raven during the attack on Xion
Definitely gonna buy both the dlc and the pc release. I want them to make a sequel.

Anyway this game is getting much more content than a lot of live service games which is funny as hell to me lmao.

Is there anything about Soyny forcing PSN into it? If they didn't explicitly say no, then it's probably safe to assume it's gonna be the case.

My Nikke addiction is helping to pay for it. Finally I'll be able to get and play it on PC as Jupiter Optimus Maximus intended. I like the way ShiftUp does things, but no way was I going to waste 500 uros on a PS5 just to play it. That was much better spent on Nikke gacha skins.

Sony recently removed the PSN requirement from their other games on Steam, like God of war: Ragnarok and Spiderman 2 so we're probably in the clear unless they make an exception for coomer games.
The commonality between the games that dropped the PSN requirement is that they're all games PC players don't give a shit about. I'd take a stab at guessing there's more interest on PC for Stellar Blade than Soyderman 2, TLoU 2, HZD Remastered, and Ragnarok combined. Hope you're right tho.

I’m sure people will buy it just for the mod potentional.

New trailer for the PC port and content update has apparently leaked.

I was considering getting a secondhand copy to experience the Japanese dub but I guess that won't be necessary now. I've already got the platinum for it on PS5 but will definitely be picking up the game again on Steam. Hoping there's only a small upgrade fee for those who already own it on console.

Does this game ever go on fucking sale at all?
It still cost full price where I look.

What is so great about this game? Its just as soulless as the first descendant and likely uses the same assets. Except its offline only.

Why are they using melee weapons besides "it looks cool, duh"? Why would you ever want to stand toe-to-toe with half of these giant monsters in a setting where sci-fi guns exist? Even NIKKE, their gacha game, gets that right where you're picking them off at a distance with ranged weapons. Its no wonder they lost the colony when most of the defenders are soulsfags hellbent on a bonzai charge and most of the enemies are designed to be able to close the distance within an instant.

The consequences of Dark souls and its shitty "tiny arena + giant boss" formula have been a disaster for the human race and general game design.
