Steven Universe fandom (Gemtlemen)

They did this exact same schtick with other cartoons a few years back. It's just a way of competing to see who is the most progressive.

It's always the progressive fandoms that are the worst.

I feel happy that back when I was watching cartoons regularly, you couldn't call any of the shows back then progressive. I got out at the right time...

So how about kids' cartoons they grew up with?
They should be looking back at the ones that with hindsight they can realize were shit and watch maybe a bit for nostalgia's sake. Not sperg about it online constantly and make a spectacle of themselves.

I'm not going to have some autistic theory about how the characters in CatDog were in a world of "lore" and justify it by saying it's "not really for kids" like adult cartoon spergs routinely claim.

lol Pinhead deleted all of his posts. I guess with the attitude the people in this thread gave him, perhaps this thread could last for more than 20 pages without being flooded with Steven Universe fans.
I'm telling you man, they cannot fucking help themselves. Their strain of autism makes it impossible for them to powerlevel. "Diseased" in under five pages. Nice.

Hooray. I can watch Rocko's Modern Life without shame...

I think complaining about "fans in general" or asking what kids' shows are "appropriate" is not the point of this thread we're supposed to be laughing at stupid fans of the show.

yes yes I know @cat is going to come in here and say all of them but there are no laughs to be had from the ones that aren't massive spergs

You can watch whatever cartoon you want (even ponies), as long as you don't overthink them, try to push them around and put them on a shrine to be praised.
But the very moment the SU spergs try to go deep and say stupid shit like "I think what SU tried to mean with that is..." you can punch them right in the dick, laugh at their suffering and remind them it's just a cartoon meant to keep kids entertained with its flashy colors and silly characters.
The moment you overthink a cartoon as "deep", you're dumb, the moment you try to defend yourself and the cartoon from every person calling you dumb with swearing and "logical fallacies", then you're a lolcow.

There's a lot to be said about the concept of "being deep" as it applies to lolcows and the shows that they watch, but this is neither the time and the place for that.

So where were we? Oh yes - fans of Steven Universe are morons. All agreed?

Very true. At most, a cartoon would just be around to entertain kids. The very least they would exist is also to act as a sort of toy commercial to get kids to ask their parents to buy some toy based off a horse or American soldier. If one really thinks there is something deep to a cartoon, they should instead read a book on something that is actually deep such as philosophical concepts. The only thing SU would try to mean is getting ratings to stay on tv and a paycheck for its staff, not go philosophically deep on things that would fly over a kids head or push out some ideology some tumblrina insist is being shilled by a show.

Even /cow/ manage to stop hatejerking to trannies and denying that Peter Coffin gets laid while they don't in order to point out the truth about Steven Universe fans:

... Go on.
Look at the "trans Lars" tag on Tumblr, or any community dedicated to sperging about the show. There are several artists who are prominent members of the "community" that are trying to rally people to get the SU staff to officially make him trans.

Given how much of SU's staff seems to be a bunch of self-servicing pseudo-SJWs, I could actually see them doing that and it's sad.
