Steven Universe fandom (Gemtlemen)

My only real complaint about SU fans so far, is that they are taking the bronies place, but worse.
They seem to think that because this is a cartoon for pre-teens and not four year olds, that it's so much more mature and deep when it's still really just a cartoon. Last time I checked, cartoons were supposed to be funny and entertaining, not teaching kids about non-binary space rock lesbians that possibly have OCD and PSTD (Actual things I have heard from fans about the characters).

Just like with MLP (that is thankfully starting to die down from what I feel), SU seems to accidently cater to all the wierdest of people, that feel like they impose all sorts of wierd shit on the characters, in order to have it fit in with their special little world. (Fans giving characters a bunch of mental health issues in headcanons for instance). Not to mention that they seem to be harassing way more people (including the shows staff) than the bronies did.
It's as if they think this show is revolutionary, when it really (to me) is just another dumb cartoon.
And also like MLP, it's finding its way to crossover with everything else. "Gemsonas" are the new "ponyfication" and it's just really annoying.

That's what cartoons do these days. There's no time to be funny. It's just being progressive 'n' mature 'n' deep.

Apparently, the cosplaying side of the fandom is particularly toxic. It's much of the same "certain body type/POCs can only dress as X" crap that elitists in the circle spew out, but with the main characters being dark red, purple and bright white among other inhuman skin tones, it's kind of stupid for them to pull the race card.

SU fans are basically Homestuck fans who were once Hetalia fans and yadda yadda you get it. I tried to watch it but I got too pissed off at the blatent pandering they were doing, it was like "PLEASE LIKE US, WE LIKE THE THINGS YOU LIKE TUMBLR LIKE UTENA AND MENTAL ILLNESSES! PLEASE!"

Most of the people drawing male gems are young male fans of the show, and this guy as a whole is a cow because he thinks he's hot shit when he's written nothing of importance before or since SU.

To be fair, the creator herself isn't that much of a SJW, she doesn't even self identify as a feminist. But I will agree that most of the crew are pig fucking disgusting leftist West coast freaks. I'm actually afraid that the industry in California will remain this way and be still filled with cucks by the early 2020's.

The show is not exactly pandering, they just have things that tumblr is attracted to, and they don't even adress mental illness directly. 0/10 made me reply

it's hilarious that people actually are afraid of cosplaying because some people might be mean to them. all of this fandom is fucking autistic. what the hell are a bunch of manchildren/hambeasts going to do when they see a white person cosplay as... whoever isn't white in this show? hiss and get mad? ):
