Steven Universe - Now a Griefing Thread

There, footage

the morons of CN put it in some advertisement they did for SU that involved Sugar and her lttle fun gestapo being interviewed on some podcats and blabering worthless platitudes.
Great. Connie’s design changed even more, and the entire conflict just looks like it’s going to be resolved in a short conversation.
The one thing I can give it, is that Bismuth looks slightly better (a bit more color, but not much better). But now she seems to be wearing more feminine attire (tube top looking shit, somewhat bigger chest) from what I can tell. Kind of adds to the point that the villains of SU are made to be more masculine as opposed to the feminine good guys.

The entire thing will essentially be resolved by Blue and Yellow being told that Steven is Pink and somehow this will make no one want to kill the other side.

You know, I think the real problem of this Rose is Pink Diamond reveal isn't even the reveal itself, as cliched it is.

It is the fact that with the show's track record, the actual solution to this plot point is going to be underwhelming. For the sake of convenience they will ignore huge portions of the implications this revelation has. Oh sure, they will go on about how Saphire's feelings are now hurt because Pinkie Dyke had lied to her. But all the other things?
the fact that the war terraformed the planet in the worst possible ways, Pearl having been essentially a slave to her master up until Steven was born, the fact Greg was lied to by his own wife, the humans Pink Diamond put into a space zoo, the war costing the lives of god knows how many gems and probably convincing yellow and blue to go on even harsher on homeworld gems to supress the expression of individuality even more than before... all on Rose now.

I think a lot of anime is utter bullcrap, but most anime who suddenly dive into this kind of plot would spend like 6 episodes deconstructing everything about the "good" guy then and make it pretty clear that overall they/Rose was not something genuinely to celebrate and that the main characters should now make their own decisions. Steven Universe will now resolve its plot faster than MLP does in its season two parters and completely ignore the fact that essentially everything "good" the characters fought for was build on a giant lie.

Rebecca Sugar and her fans think this show is mature and tackles meaningful subjects. It doesn't. It pokes them at best and fails to genuinely "debate" them in context of story and then twists any moral it may have into something awful by deconstructing characters in the worst way possible.

I like how this means Pearl is a slave in love with Massa.

Anyway, here's the salt:

What did I tell you guys?
Here's what I think is gonna happen instead:

The diamonds are gonna find out that the Cluster got bubbled (which, side note, was a giant cop-out to that storyline) and they're going to try and get rid of the bubble somehow. They'll almost succeed, but Steven will be all, "you loved Pink Diamond, is this what she'd want, blah blah blah." The diamonds will admit that they can't let go, and still miss her terribly. They'll all share a good cry and then the diamonds will fix all the corrupted gems (because they can probably do that; they can corrupt gems, so they can probably un-corrupt them as well), and every previously un-redeemed villain will turn good, regardless of whether it makes sense to or not. And just for the hell of it, Rose Quartz will come back somehow because HAPPY, HAPPY, HAPPY!!!

Obviously that's a bit of an exaggeration, but I doubt I'll be too far off. It'd be cooler if we got a neat action sequence when the Crystal Gems finally face the Diamonds, but I'm not betting on that.
That seems to be where they’re heading. Steven will talk to the diamonds and all will be well.

We have yet to see White Diamond, but at this point I don’t even give a shit about that. I’m sick of Sugar baiting me into thinking she knows what she’s doing, only to swerve me and do something stupid at the last minute.

I know that I’ll probably sound like your average cartoon sperg when I say this, but I genuinely believe I could do a better job than Sugar at making this show. (EDIT: Apparently “sperg” auto corrects to “superglue” on my phone)

No that’s all inaccurate.

Amazing how people can dump a show they centered their identity around so easily.

You're implying these people had an identity at all, let alone one worth being proud of.

Thinking about my place in this for one sad moment: knowing myself well enough, I know why I watch cartoons/anime/sports and whatnot for, and it's not for latching onto something over identity issues; it's for fun, like it always was meant to be, since growing up. I'm mostly only having fun now because of the salt it generates when it comes to what's going on here, honestly.

Whatever Tumblr/whatever else BS socialism media is doing it is sometikes pretty sad to read about, no matter how much fun it is to otherwise just sit back and laugh at these fools for just a bit.

Then again, that's why it's best not to let SJWs near ANY medium, IMHO.

It's problematic and hurts my fee-fees tho! REEEEEEEEEE!
Hurt feeling are illegal! You made me feel a way I didn’t want to! Literal rape!

Okay, I’m done.

Honestly, I still enjoy the show. It’s got its fair share of flaws, but I’ve still had a fun time watching it. Fandom is utter shit though, taking a personal character interpretation and claiming it canon. No wonder they lose their shit when they didn’t pay enough attention.

The problem with Steven Universe is that everyone who even watched as much as a single episode of this shit is a complete pederast whose every waking moment is spent raping children.

I felt compelled to let you know about this obvious truth.
