Steven Universe - Now a Griefing Thread

Other than repeating that SU is terrible/bad/whatever throughout the thread, I want to say that I miss fight-happy Jasper but the same time I don't because she's not ruined by the writing and got out before it could. But then again, I haven't seen if she pops up in Future but ignorance is bliss.
Jasper shows up in one episode as fight happy as ever. And interestingly, she's not talked down and they end up having an actual sort of fight.

I saw a snippet where the new gems got a job doing what they were made to do and Steven got upset at them for fitting back into their assigned roles. It’s funny that the moral of the story was to let all the gems get back to doing their pre-assigned tasks. Very progressive lol

It would’ve been better if a few gems did decide to change their jobs from Steven’s meddling. Because now, all I got from that clip was that people are born to stay in their caste and will willingly follow it. The writing is so deep it loops back around to being re.tarded
Eh, I thought it was a bit self-aware, criticizing the "woke" people who will flip if a girl likes stereotypical feminine things

I hope her speedrun will go well

Ho-lee-SHIT. Can I break this down?
  • Amber is such a narcissist she watches videos of herself talking about tranny progress instead of talking to her wife.
  • She so crazy she just starts making random noises, weirding out her wife.
  • Wife tells her quietly and calmly to STFU, gets """""jokingly""""" told she's transphobic for it.
  • Wife defends herself for not being transphobic, but then sounds sexist. (Or is the emphasis of MAN the wife reassuring herself she didn't marry a woman she married a troon? Who knows.)
I'm sure DANNY meant for this to be funny but it looks like foreshadowing of HIS and HIS wife's divorce if he keeps up the self-obsession. This is what they deemed worthy of working on a supposed professional TV production, huh? Sugar suuuuurre knows how to pick 'em.

By the way, how many more episodes to go do we have before we can finally lay this show to rest next to its lover Tumblr?

Only 10? Calling it now, they'll do one of three things:

1. Do a Summer of Steven thing again and have 10 weeks of SU with new SUs once a week until the big finsh.
2. Do one big StevenBomb where it's 2 episodes for 5 days, thus concluding the series.
3. Do TWO StevenBombs, hype the final episode and the series finally ends on a Friday.

The smart option would be 1, but since rumor is SU has always been ratings-challenged when aired once a week, the StevenBombs would be a swift and fitting end. Who knows.

My exposure to this fandom is somewhat minimal... but I have seen the episodes of "Steven Universe Future" so far, mostly out of curiosity after the movie. To quote myself, and to add to it:

They gave the upcoming villains away in the song, no?
Now: They're at this point, no?

Wow, a depression arc. They really like to gamble on the SU team.
This could be either really good or really bad in the upcoming weeks.
With SU, it’s a genuine gamble
I'm glad that stupid show is gonna be over soon!
With SU gone, the 2010s era of animation is fully dead. Now we wait to see if the 2020s will improve on anything or not.

We have a date: Steven Universe ends on March 27th via Variety.

I predicted a slow burn Summer of Steven style for the finale would be the smart option so CN might be learning something. 🚬

Oh fuck off already Becky. You have made it clear that this is STEVEN's Universe and all that happens within it is from Steven's point of view and only effects Steven and those who are (un)fortunate enough to be around him. Make something new or go away.

Never learn, do they?

At best, they might do a Lars of the Stars spin off, which explains why they sent back again, but too little too late at this point.
There’s the slim chance of prequel and sequel series but I definitely want that in other people’s hands.
