I liked the look of the Off Color Gems. The multi-fusion had a whole "Alice in Wonderland catapiller" thing going, I liked the twins a lot, the Ruby/Pearl was fun and I laughed my ass off at the delayed vision one.

Yeah I enjoyed them, they weren't annoying, nor were they too gimmicky to the point I was hoping they didn't overstay their welcome. The new Sapphire had pretty good comedic timing, and it was good to see some different character designs.I liked the look of the Off Color Gems. I think it was less about Steven getting trapped on Homeworld(which, to be fair, lasted 4 episodes, which would have been a full month if CN was airing this like a normal show, AND was technically the start of season 5, so imagine waiting a full season to see what happened to Steven after he gave himself up) and more about Lars becoming like Lion and him being stuck on Homeworld, which means Steven and the Gems can now go there whenever they want.Yeah I enjoyed them, they weren't annoying, nor were they too gimmicky to the point I was hoping they didn't overstay their welcome. Anyone else think Steven got home a bit too quick? Seems like they were about to go into some real shit and ended up pussing out.
Good point, I wonder what it could lead too though. At least it wasn't a complete bullshit cliffhanger, they just can't afford to do that with all those hiatuses.I think it was less about Steven getting trapped on Homeworld(which, to be fair, lasted 4 episodes, which would have been a full month if CN was airing this like a normal show, AND was technically the start of season 5, so imagine waiting a full season to see what happened to Steven after he gave himself up) and more about Lars becoming like Lion and him being stuck on Homeworld, which means Steven and the Gems can now go there whenever they want.
Technically three because Topaz was a fusion, but it was done just to show how much of a divide there is between all of them. Topaz didn't snatch Aquamarine's wand though, she blitzed her and threatened her with a Gem destabilizer, probably only because she knows what Aquamarine can do.Also, is anyone else bothered by the fact the CG's were made fodder by only 2 Homeworld gems? 2/3 of the gems are usually smart in a shit situation, but they got solo'd by one wand that Topaz easily took from Aquamarine. Pretty shitty fight.

Fluorite is a progressive caterpillar orgy.Isn't that ugly ass Fluorite portrays polyamory?
i hate what they did with jasper. they could have redeemed her to say "look guys even the worst people can change" but nah, she got fucked over because she's a baaad person
hey y'all! i've been lurking here for a while and i wanna bring up some shit that bothers me (sorry if i'm repeating anything or powerlevelling)
edit: thanks for the autistic ratings i guess
- how does homeworld measure time? homeworld is just a planet-type location floating in space. it doesn't revolve around a star, it's not in a solar system. doesn't it have a collection of territories anyways, where years are different lengths? i always found it dumb but i tried to brush it off because i didn't want to seem nitpicky. (in "off-colours", fluorite said she and the other gems have been "hiding in these tunnels for aeons". one aeon is about one billion years. honestly this better just be some bizarre form of sarcasm or exaggeration because i'm shitting myself)
- in "the trial", there is no reason why steven can't tell the diamonds "i'm my mum's half-human kid, rose is actually dead". even if they don't believe him there is no reason why he can't say this
- mixed-gem fusion being a homeworld taboo is dumb. it's one thing if there's a class difference (like a low-class gem fusing with a high-class gem) but there's a huge advantage in combat when you combine two different and powerful gems. you get the best of both worlds and i'm surprised homeworld hates it and still won the war with the crystal gems. it's clear to me that this was just done just to be an "omg homophobia metaphor"
- the lgbt overtones in this show are so blatant, you can just look at these characters and say "haha wow gay". also where are the male gems? the all-female society is pretty dumb to be honest
- i hate what peridot has become. i liked her unique personality. she was fun and sarcastic, and she was one of the best characters in the show (along with greg). i didn't like how they later made her "smol" but i tried to look past it. now she's nothing beyond an annoying asshat who only provides "lol randem xDD" comedy
- i also hate what lapis lazuli has become. she seemed like such an interesting character. granted, she was quite overrated after her jailbreak but she was intriguing to me. i couldn't wait to see more of her. in jailbreak she saves steven's ass; instead of developing how malachite has changed her, they take this girl (who's survived literally thousands of years in a mirror and an emotionally/physically abusive relationship with jasper mind you, stick her with peridot and make her nothing more than an edgy teen who wants nothing to do with anybody. fuck
- why did topaz have a moment of weakness in "i am my mom"? it seemed pointless and it came out of nowhere. also her voice is cute but very, very unfitting
- i hate what they did with jasper. they could have redeemed her to say "look guys even the worst people can change" but nah, she got fucked over because she's a baaad person
- bismuth's appearance was terrible. her design was odd but i tried to look past it. she's only around for one episode before getting killed off because she showed her "awful mentality". seems like only the suck-ups get screentime in this show
- steven is overpowered and a confusing character for me. he has a shield, a giant sword, an indestructible bubble with spikes, super strengh, telepathy, the ability to float, the ability to possess human beings, and a lion who saves his ass whenever he's in serious trouble. sometimes he seems like an innocent kid but he also seems like he's been sheltered his entire life and the gems are assholes for not telling him shit about his family. but it also feels like he's quite the brat. he often pushes the gems for more information that they don't want to say because it's traumatic to them and he has a whole life ahead of him so he doesn't ruin his childhood.
- the inconsistencies in the animation are so glaring. peridot was supposed to be short but now she's more of a little shit than steven and she also has encephalitis (either that or it's just her hair. the dorito jokes are fucking annoying). actually a lot of the characters have encephalitis sometimes, lapis especially. steven shrunk like two feet, lapis' hair is ridiculous (too big and too simply drawn), garnet turned magenta, lapis grew to pearl's height, etc

- the way the cluster was dealt with was dumb too. of course steven got to talk to it and fix it because he's special. i know it's not completely gone but sticking the cluster arc with the malachite arc just felt lazy and dumb. also if the cluster is in the centre of the earth, where it's over ten thousand degrees, how the hell did steven survive that? if gems are just holograms coming from their gemstones, wouldn't peridot and the gem shards just melt from the heat and become all fuckedtated?
- "hit the diamond" was dumb too! it's nothing but more gay shit pushed in your face. the fate of the world is kind of at stake but settling the ordeal with baseball of all things and ruby and sapphire just deciding to flirt the whole time and screw the other gems over was frustrating. also why are the rubies so damn dense? why are they important homeworld pawns if they're this stupid? how did the show get away with a shirtless ruby?
- the music in the show is nice but i never pay attention to it when it's playing in an episode. it's just too quiet to me
- i liked lapis' broken gem palette better than her current one. it looked more like real lapis lazuli, which isn't pale blue

no you're getting islamic content ratings nowcan i have more autistic reacts please?
No official announcements yet but there's been a whole list of leaked episodes for the entirety of the next season, on the horizon there's apparently a special coming up called "Reunited" that's going to be 22 minutes long but no confirmed date yet.anything new in the horizon for the show? is there more episodes to come or is it over now?
another special? cn can't fuck over a show's schedule this badly, can they?No official announcements yet but there's been a whole list of leaked episodes for the entirety of the next season, on the horizon there's apparently a special coming up called "Reunited" that's going to be 22 minutes long but no confirmed date yet.
They can, and it seems like they will only continue to do so. Special in this instance really just means two episodes that follow one after another, which is a really annoying structure for them considering if they're part 1 and 2 and you're airing them together you could probably just have them as the same episode.another special? cn can't fuck over a show's schedule this badly, can they?
It's post 2010 Cartoon Network, the fact they're still standing despite being almost nothing but TTG, Gumball and crappy movies is amazing(ly pathetic) enough on its own.another special? cn can't fuck over a show's schedule this badly, can they?
