I'd take anything Kayla says about her parents with a grain of salt. Much more likely she's saying "mommy and daddy are going away" in an attempt to get us to stop contacting them.

If I had to guess, I'd say that Kayla doesn't act out IRL and saves that all for her tumblrspasms so the hammer didn't come down cause Momma Kayla thought it was make-believe or something.

There's a website that people on Tumblr user a lot, it's a virtual shrine where you can leave a fake candle with a small message attached to it. Meant to be like a shrine for a god, but... for Tumblr users instead.
