I don't get the excuse of money or transport or anything being pulled from her to brush off medical needs. When your mental health is bad enough, you will pretty much claw at anything for what you need to reign it in. On multiple occasions when money gets real tight I would forgo food for the sake of affording my meds. I would deal with horrendously inconvenient appointments. Hell my partner needs to travel 3-4 hours by train to get to a specialist for their stuff.
The long and short of it is you get shit done, not just making excuses for it. Especially when this kid seems to fit the rich bitch bill.
