I dunno. Yeah, they're cringey tards getting salty about a kids cartoon, but the fandom is so autistic and pants-shittingly dumb that bronies look good by comparison.

That and Rebecca Sugar always seems to come off as a pretentious cunt to me.

Kinda off topic, but does that bitch play the ukulele? She seems like the type of asshole that would.

Edit:

What a cunt.

No good ukelele music exists.

:late:it's amazing that a show dedicated to being one long safe space therapy session for people with made-up genders has triggered these people this much:late:

Bloody hell, Im hating this show more and more as this tism progresses. It's like going to a dinner and finding out one of your relatives is doing hard drugs while telling you not to follow their example.

What happened to enjoying things casually? Like, just... save some nice art and watch the show.
People need to invest in comment-hiding addons. Or just stop engaging in Tungle Dot Hell fandom culture altogether.

this is a lot to take in.. pearls are literally made in the context of the show to be servants, eye-candy, etc. pearl literally says something like they 'stand around and look pretty'... good god

Which is odd as their designs aren't very appealing.

I think it's less how they look and more how Pearls are valued in reality; wealthy women wearing pearl necklaces/etc.
Pearls ( and by extension, Bismuths ) aren't even really... gems. One is an oyster booger and the other is metal.

Yeah, in the context of the show they are a status symbol. Out of all gems they're the ones talked about as being nothing more than property, which is borderline fucked up but...people who own them are the bad guys? SU Critical can analyze everything except the actual plot.

Back in the day people extended on that even further. Gems are replaceable life draining creatures made to fit a role they are made for exclusively. Some gems are made just to be the "uwu" ones, and thinking of a whole species just made for that matter tells something worrying about the progressive creators of this show.

I'm not sure what's dumber: the fact that they call the pearls' posing being sexualized eye candy despite the fact they're clearly modeled after ballerinas, the fact that they don't grasp that the antagonists who are essentially gem royalty would have personal servants, or the fact that they fail to grasp that them having servants is supposed to seem creepy to emphasize that they're antagonists.

As an animation student i can split my class into a few groups:

Mainly the Weebs, the disney and the SUs

Then there’s the group of us who just want to die cause we just like animation in general and don’t sperg over anything specific. The SUs are the hardest to interact with as most are huge SJWs and make everything about LGBT/Race representation.

I come into class and just half there class is like “omg did u see the new episode???” to their mates and i just sit and think “ah, a new episode of pandering to liberals the original series”

God forbid people being allowed to just like something aesthetically without picking apart every “flaw” (subjective) you see in it.
