the 2nd and 3rd one look the exact same but the clothes and skin color changed, and these autismo supremes complain about character design

man, I used to like this show. The severe autism and virtue signalling radiating from it after a while chased me away.

Sigh, they've crawled out of their caves to bitch about a kids show again.

Classing ass-reaching to call things fetishism/microaggressions/desexualization (wtf even is that)

This hoe ain't even black, yet she's obsessed with Bismuth's "black-codedness" and "oppression"

You know they're exceptional when they go off about their right to kill their oppressors or some insane shit

Calling someone "fucking stupid" is ableist?? What even???? What??
The irony is that her reaction image comes off more as "ableist" with a condescending kid tone than nerdbeast supposedly did.

And of course her ocs look like what you'd expect tumblr ocs to look like

"Spectrum Squad" just about sums up tumblr.
isn't Sangled one of the people to make those animatics that ended up being very popular? If so, what the fuck?

This the kind of thing I'm talking about. There's plenty of real complaints to be had about how Steven Universe handles the arcs of its antagonists: mostly by slapping on a last minute reveal or Steven pulling a new power out of his ass that makes it so that it was all just One Big Misunderstanding and everyone skips off on their merry way while all the shitty things they did turn into a massive elephant in the room as they go on unaddressed. Hell, there's arguably in an argument to made that SU's sloppy handling of conflicts kinda skews its own message from a generic Power of Friendship theme to "no matter how much of an asshole someone is, just keep crawling back and eventually they'll see the error of their ways" which can leave a bad taste in your mouth on top of being dissatisfied. But no, instead they gotta skew this as how Rebecca Sugar has some secret agenda against their waifu and that disagreements are ableism... somehow.

Though I will say some of the blowback towards SU Critical has been equally obnoxious and exceptional. I've lost count how many times I've seen someone make a mild criticism like "yeah the off model continuity errors don't really add anything to these scenes so the 'it's an artistic choice' feels like it's just an excuse" or "I thought the Cluster arc was mismanaged and lacked tension, and that the conclusion was cheap" get 300+ whiteknights either smugly going "awww what's the matter, did the show not turn out exactly how you wanted you entitled cunt" or typical DeviantArt-tier excuses like "it's their STYLE."

Though honestly the most hilarious thing about SU Critical is when they pull the "But think of the CHILDREN" card. As though anyone under the age of 23 still watches this show.

all of those idiots made me not wanna watch the show, that and the show in general is tripe anyways

I don't know whats happening anymore but the gay marriage rocks sounds like pointless pandering. Like a generally boring side-plot and :powerlevel:
I'm gay. I don't have any desire to be constantly validated by a children's cartoon and frankly I don't think most kids care nowadays.
Every-time I hear about what this show is doing my eyes glaze over because it sound so boring and safe. Like smol safe huggies in the safe space.

I just don't care about it that much anymore. Kind of a shame, had some good ideas. Loved the background art, tolerated the weird character design. It was alright.

This sperging is incredible though. You'd think they were criticizing some great, controversial work of art that's going to change the world, a troubled genius's magnum opus that historians and philosophers will theorize about for generations. I wish they dedicated some of this time bringing attention to actual lgbt issues like domestic abuse and actually help people.

this is gonna be the MLP movie all over again

I don't quite know what you're trying to say with that - the MLP movie was perfectly acceptable. The animation was fluid, the character design was enjoyable, and the story was clearly aimed at a target audience of children with a few nods here and there to the parents.

I can assure you the SU movie will be zero of these things. They will also not ever mention the villian in the main series.

Anyway, SU still can't really write a story to save their lives, and the redemption of Yellow and Blue that seems to be looming only proves that. Honestly, they're probably going to join the gems, and then... fight White Diamond, I guess?

SU feels like a story that shouldn't have touched a genocide arc. Sugar clearly just wants a feel good show, in the end, which is fine, but it means that a lot of the message is hamfisted.

The main critiques of the series are ones that can stand quite strongly, but people do laugh at people complaining about Peridot's autistic coding is funny because, well, it's funny.

And thus SU critical falls.

The thing that stuck out to me about the whole wedding arc was how out of place it was given the recent events of the show. SU's had a very long history of having their "bombs" be 60% farting about with anything that could be considered real development being crammed in at the ends, but this is probably the most recent & egregious example of it. Instead of being about how the Pink Diamond revelation has effected Steven's perspective and what that means for how he'll handle conflicts going forward, or even of the many other conflicts that have been stuck on the back burner forever, it gets completely derailed by a wedding plot that had no pretense to show up at this point in the story nor does it really tie in to what's thematically.

It seems to only exist to pad out the run time and be "a milestone for children's television," without any regard for what it means for the pacing, which has been a reoccurring problem for the series. I remember also being disappointed to discover that Blue and Yellow were apparently going to be part of the next batch of episode because it was a sign that the Pink Diamond reveal only happened to set up the next convenient plot device to cut the conflict with Blue and Yellow short and make it a Big Misunderstanding. And, sure enough, that's exactly what happened.

It also doesn't help that whenever Steven Universe pulls this shit, they'll have an episode or a line or in the most recent case a song dedicated to telling the audience "Can't we just have this one thing where we can just fart around and not focus on the plot-heavy stuff???" which gets really obnoxious in a show where most of the focus is watching Steven fart around to begin with.

The SU Critical tag is some concentrated autism. Imagine being such a retard irl you try so hard to look for racism in a kids show. Some of the angry criticals even admit they're white.

So Cartoon Network shot down the idea of making an Adventure Time movie when the show was at the peak of its popularity, shot down An Amazing World of Gumball made for TV movie, but now decided to give Steven Universe of all shows a movie? Teen Titans Go, as mind numbingly terribe as it is, I could at least understand, but this?

Are they planning to use the same crew they use for episodes? Because they can't exactly structure a film the way they handle their "bombs," they'd have to make an overarching conflict with a conflict, rising action, and then a conflict resolution that carries over throughout the run time. And based on everything we've seen, I don't think the current artists working on SU could handle such a task.

Honestly with the amount of nitpicking that goes SU critical people put into every little detail, it's a wonder that anyone makes fanart for this show at all.

Also lol @ that first post claiming "Inclusion isn't just saying that a character belongs to a marginalized group and then calling it a day! You need to portray then respectfully!" when just a glance at SJW Art and Extremes proves that Tumblr does exactly that and worse on a regular basis.

The MLP movie fucking ruled. The SU movie is a tv movie I think, not a theatrical one, which really means it's just a Steven Bomb they're going to play all at once instead of over five days.

SU faces the same problem as ATLA did imo,it wants to be really serious and adult but still for kids and it's always going to be really messy when you start getting into things like war and genocide. SU will talk about wars that happened very bluntly, but they can't kill characters because that just isn't the type of show it's allowed to be. ATLA made it seem like a strength in Aang's character, but the Lesbian Space Rock Fasciasts are going to get a redemption arc. Why Tumblr expects them not to is beyond me .

I personally can't wait for Jasper to be the first successfully healed Corrupted Gem because the drama from these clowns is going to be delicious even though it is painfully, stupidly obvious that's what the show is going to do.

Personally I am still waiting for my galactic war. There are lasers, ships, rebels and an empire, Lars-Albator ,even a homeworld that looks like the death star. ( but i know this will never happen (:_()

these people are legitimately terrifying.

Between them and the SU fandom I still consider them the lesser of the autistic tards.
To be honest I don't think there's really much of a difference between the regular SU fantards and the SU criticals. They're both congregations of spiteful, bitter people who wield social justice buzzwords like a sledgehammer just so they can feel like they're on a high horse for an eighth of a second before going back to being miserable cunts.

The only true difference seems that SU fantards tear into each other over shipping bs and fan art that doesn't conform to a specific set of standards while SU critards go after the show directly.

I dunno. Yeah, they're cringey tards getting salty about a kids cartoon, but the fandom is so autistic and pants-shittingly dumb that bronies look good by comparison.

That and Rebecca Sugar always seems to come off as a pretentious cunt to me.

Kinda off topic, but does that bitch play the ukulele? She seems like the type of asshole that would.

Edit:
She does and she writes all the songs for the show.
What a cunt.
