Suggestion and Update Thread

Can we change the pink triangle to this?

I think there should be a cowsay tag that turns what somebody's posting into the output from cowsay, but only for short sentences.

You know what would be cool? If all Random.txt had links to the threads that originated them. I'm certain this would lead to many threads being revitalized, with people who never cared to search in that sub-forum finding them because of the links.

Trust me, Null. It will be like a lolcow renaissance.

Was the ability to change a thread's title/subtitle removed recently? I can't edit the title/subtitle when I try to edit the OP of a thread.

Browsing the Community Happenings thread while logged out, it's annoying to keep clicking links only to hit a bunch of log in walls. Could we get hover text or something to show when a link leads to A&N?

@Null I know I'm not the only one who prefers the Stealth theme because of it's more minimalist design without avatars and such. However Stealth's default color palette is pretty eye gouging especially at night.

Can we please sit down, design and implement a "Dark Stealth" theme? I don't think it would take all that long and it would be a somewhat needed addition.

But then it'll actually be stealth and that'd just kill the irony.

Ever thought about adding a small refresh button next to the quotes on the top right of the page that will only refresh the quote? That way users wouldn't have to refresh the page to get a new quote. I'm no webdev so im not sure if this would actually be less bandwidth on your end or not but i think it would be a cool feature. Obviously not a big deal.

Or even easier (maybe) just add a link below that to a random_text master list - or even a .doc file so users can have their very own copy.

MATI is separated from other reactions for some reason.

I use Full HD with letterboxing (tor browser feature, on by default). The hat "moved" without me changing my configuration.
Tried with brave+tor and behaves the same, icons move depending on screen resolution.

I don't know how easy or hard this is would be to implement, but I think the search function could be slightly streamlined to facilitate more discussion by making it quicker and easier to find one's cows of interest. Here's some examples:

juju.png
For "Juju the Cow" his main and most active thread is only result #7.

rekieta.png
"Rekieta" has Steve Quest v Rekieta as the top result, and his actual thread at #5.

maddox.png
"Maddox" gets you a deceptive #1 result with the blue Careercow label, when his thread is actually the #3 result. The #1 result is a dead thread that was locked in 2014.

I realize that this is a minor issue because you can still find what you're looking for with a little reading and effort, but it would be a really neat feature if the dedicated person threads automatically came up as the first result when you search for a phrase that's in the title.

"Search titles only" is useful, but it put Maddox's thread at #7 for me when searching "Maddox," so actually lower than before.

I suggest weighting the number of posts a thread has higher when giving search results, and potentially updating the labels like the above mentioned Careercow label one Maddox's old dead thread. As well as weighting labels like Careercow higher than, for example, the Crossover label. As you can see in the Rekieta results, there is a Crossover thread listed above his own personal thread. I realize that the latter suggestion of updating the labels could be a lot of work, but maybe it could be a community effort.

I also suggest adding a "sort by popularity" option. This would allow you to search "trannies" and immediately find the biggest happenings and most significant forum spergings within that field of interest.

Lastly, I found in my experience that the tags are funnier than they are useful. At least, when it comes to finding specific lolcows. Here is me searching for "fat, fat_fat, fatty:"

die null die.png
fat fat_fat fatty PPP.png
"Fat, fat_fat, fatty" gave me PPP, which I admit is very fitting, but I did not set out specifically to find him. I'm not sure exactly how I would improve this, and perhaps tags are more frequently used by people interested in general topics like the above mentioned "trannies" tag, but I personally do not really use them.

Dear Visionary:

The "Alerts" tab gets too bloated. Split the "Alerts" tab into separate tabs.
  1. "Notifications" for watched replies/posts, quotes and mentions
  2. "Reactions" for reactions, these need their own the most as they're usually the most plentiful.
