Super Smash Bros.

If all we got for SE representation is a moot amount of FF content and Cloud, I kinda find it doubtful that we'll get another SE character. From what everyone is saying, Square is stingy AF when it comes to others using their content.

I still think most of the DLC will be third parties. If spec for the past game taught us anything, it's that we shouldn't believe that a character won't make it in because everyone else thinks so. Soccer Guy can be VERY unpredictable.

Kingdom Hearts is a Disney and Square Enix co-production, with Disney owning the rights to the KH original characters, like Sora. Sony had no involvement in the franchise whatsoever, and several Kingdom Hearts games have been released on Nintendo hardware, such as the original Chain of Memories. When I talk about Sony, I'm thinking in terms of characters they actually own, like Kratos and Parappa the Rapper. And no, they don't own Spyro or Crash Bandicoot either; both of those are owned by Activision.

I hadn't considered it but a The World Ends With You character would be interesting (as well as filling the criteria of being nintendo-centric and having a very recent release on the Switch). Maybe we'd even get another round of Ice Climbers double-character silliness.

She's, as of right now, strongly debated to be almost bottom-tier. That's how badly she got nerfed (I was reading that her aerials do almost no knockback, to the point where she can't KO in the air until something like 190%) . Although obviously the game has only been out for three days, no one really knows if that's where she'll end up. Shulk, from what I've heard, has been buffed to be decent, or at least better than he was in Smash 4. The Belmonts, on the other hand, are really scary when you don't know how to counter them. Their range is really good, and they are hard hitters too. As a result, roll-dodging away from them isn't really an option like it is for most other characters, so really you need to shield and tank the hit and then punish them after. I'd say they are really good characters, but they might not be top-tier. Although the projectiles they have are super dangerous too.
So far I've been maining Sonic/Dr. Mario/Snake and I'd say all of them feel pretty good. Dr. Mario in particular feels a lot stronger than he did in Smash 4, especially with that new down air (it's a meteor smash now!), and I actually prefer him over normal Mario now. His Mario tornado got massively buffed in kill power too.
 
You don’t just earn the Big the Cat spirit from the Big the Cat spirit fight, you also learn that they devoted one of Incineroar’s alt palettes to making him look exactly like Big the Cat.

It will become foggy after a while

Cloud Bayo and Ryu basically opened the floodgates. Basically expect a lot of big fish for the DLC

Give the modding community a few weeks and we’ll have custom spirits and you can make them for real.

eta : went to look and see if there was any progress figuring out the formats for this to learn that they’ve already managed to rip the models and mod them into SSB4 in interesting ways. We’re off to a great start.
