I was really hoping Lucas would come back as DLC, but I still tried to be realistic about his chances. Glad to see that optimism paid off for once! Given that Mother 3 is one of my favourite games of all time, I hope he brings some other M3 content with him, like a stage or some trophies.

Mewtwo... eh. As long as he's better than his Melee self I'm happy.

Two words: HOLY SHIT!

We didn't just get to see Mewtwo gameplay for the first time, but also Lucas as well. What's even crazier is that now with the Smash Ballot, shit is going to be nuts. With so many characters that have potential, we pretty much have to decide on who to vote for.

Goddamn, apparently both Ness and the Greninja amiibo are completely sold out yesterday with Ness causing Gamestop's website to go down. So much for getting them for now.

Amiibo pre orders go out of stock in ten minutes if you are lucky, it's fucking insane. I barely managed to get my Splatoon ones in on Best Buy before they all sold out. I actually want them because fuck yeah I am buying Splatoon.

I just need Ganondorf to finish my collection of Zelda characters. But dat Wool Yoshi is tempting the shit out of me.
 
They've apparently also added in a ballot for fighters you'd wanna see which might have some impact. There's so many I'd like to vote for that have no real chance of getting in though... and no none of them are Goku or Spongebob.
 
Mewtwo is out. I played some FG yesterday with him. He plays a lot better compared to Melee. He feels fun using him just to mess with anyone. I put up some videos I recorded using Mewtwo later on.

I uploaded a few Mii Fighters to that new sharing service in SSB4 on my 3DS; Jace, Tyce, and Eli are among them, they should be one of the first in the results for fighters made by people from the U.S. If not then find em before they're buried, though I may maintain their presence on the roster if there's more demand for them.
ETA: Tyce now has a katana (all of them are uploaded together so they're easy to find). Adding a screenshot of them.

Edit 2: They may be buried because I hit my daily upload cap, which means I'll have to reupload at another time. At the times I reupload, they should be right on the first pages of the Mii roster.

Edit: Tried all three new DLC characters and both the stages, here's my thoughts on them:

Ryu - I thought he'd be kinda like another Mario, but his representation in Smash Bros. fits well with the simpler control scheme whilst remaining faithful to his representation in the Street Fighter series, right down to being able to use his original button combos in conjunction with the B button to boost his moves.

Roy - Marth on steroids, straight outta Melee. His specials have advantages over both Marth and Ike's, including being able to steer the Dolphin Slash (more easily) and set people on fire, which I very much like.

Lucas - His entire A moveset brings him away from being "just a Ness clone". I thought I'd like his PK Freeze but that's a real bitch to try to aim and use, I also like how his PK Thunder just goes through opponents for repeated damage.

Dreamland 64 - Not much I can really say about this stage, it's just a $2 nostalgia trip that should be fun to duke it out on from time to time.
I remember trying so hard to get those Kirbies in the right order for that bonus though.

Suzaku Castle - Regular form is like Wily's Castle collided with Gerudo Bridge. Omega form is probably gonna make me want to play Street Fighter II on my Genesis again.

I have not downloaded the costumes.
