Some people are so limp wristed and hypocritical when it comes to Harry Potter, that at this point i respect the people who got rid of it after they were retarded enough to ree about JKR more than the consoomers who have to constantly justify their keepsakes as "when it was innocent and safe to consoom! Muh Memories!"

You dont even have to pubically do it, atleast take down the boxes from public view when you ree about JKR or some shit

They dont actually hate harry potter, its just socially trendy to hate it and even more so to hate JK Rowling.

This exactly. It's the fact they can't stop themselves from loving it, despite it being taboo now, that causes their delicate eggshell psyches such trauma.

Doesn't that sort of project kinda require either exaggerating details of history or going in a full alternate history direction? I wonder how cartoony they intended it to be judging from the artstyle.

Bad Squiddo Games is alright if you need metal historical women minis. From everything I've seen the owner isn't retarded, she's just about as autistic as you would expect from someone in this hobby.

Probably a bit of exaggeration but nothing too unreasonable with a few real life people who were involved in resistances sprinkled in. Their minis have a bit of an old school feel to them since you can only get so much detail in with metal while also keeping them cheap. Here's a picture from their blog post about it.

I don't know since there's no clarification on what it is supposed to be on the kickstarter and I don't know what this is shooting for. Minis? A tabletop game? Something else? If minis then I don't have much to care about other than "oh neat, you can do a different Bolt Action with this".

It's not totally without precedent. There was a game about the all-female USSR 588th Night Bomber Regiment. But somehow I suspect that this one is going to be about the #Resistance rather than any sort of actual, material resistance.

The kickstarter is live, you could have looked at it yourself. They're miniatures of women that actually existed and helped various resistance groups. They're alright I guess.

So the Trench Crusade team was supposed to release their models today, but now it'll be on October 20th but I think that Only games are also responsible for this as well.

Apparently a third of Only Games' printers broke down one after the other back in June and they didn't have enough parts and machines in stock to repair/replace everything, plus most of their technical staff was on vacation. Backers were told about none of this until the update a couple of weeks ago, and the timeline for delivering all the Kickstarter orders has now slipped into October.

People are missing single-warband orders that should have shipped months ago, the whales who spent upwards of a grand on everything and haven't seen a damn thing are getting increasingly upset, and orders are still coming in with broken, warped, uncured, incomplete, and missing models. There's been an uptick in people asking about refunds and generally expressing frustration with the whole process. One guy was annoyed because he sprang for the complete set of physical minis and terrain and hasn't gotten anything while a friend of his who has a 3D printer learned about Trench Crusade much more recently and has already printed up almost everything this guy paid for in the Kickstarter and has yet to receive.

There have also been reports of post-Kickstarter pre-orders being shipped already, which isn't supposed to happen at all until the campaign is completely filled. I also wonder about any poor saps who've tried buying non-TC stuff from Only Games, since they've allegedly had their entire printer farm going nonstop on these orders since fulfillment started in January.

At this point, the TC team doesn't need to worry about the chuds killing their hype. They've done it to themselves.

A friend is trying to get me into Trench Crusade.

The lore looks really cool but I'm wary about anything that looks cool on the outset.
What lore? There isn't anything beyond some incredibly basic descriptions of why the various factions are fighting and what started the conflict. Even the attempts at lore channels(gotta give them credit for trying to get in on it early) have given up.

Only reason to get into trench crusade would be if you like the mechanics or aesthetics.

The lore is very bare bones at best and can be summed up as "What if Templars so heckin' unwholesome Christian they summoned hell", and then just stapled the rest of it together with vibes and art tbh. The art does 99.5% of the lifting, alongside free rulesets and trying to appeal to 3D printers. Even then it fails since I've seen how fucking awful those minis look if painted to spec; you have to essentially ignore their desires to make shit brown and do something else with it if you buy plastic crack to mostly paint.

I don't see anything that interesting besides I guess the ruleset, which a minis guy I know says looks interesting. I'd actually argue their working with a marketing group that shits on potential customers and their hideous incompetence at getting molds and models to its backers renders it uninteresting completely to me. Also apparently they have gooning caves for dedicated members where they jerk it to the nuns in straps.
