Unless they're actually retarded at managing money
This is the same company that rented a huge space at adepticon, and had nothing to sell or show to the public other than some merch like patches and shit(I believe they also did this same thing later at gencon), then held a presentation at adepticon where they proclaimed they fucked up their marketing and were confused why people disliked their shit(it was the community management and other problems), and then did an interview on camera bragging about how they didn't need to hire any business oriented people for project management and keep it all as being run by creative artists.
And then that's combined with partnering with a producer of 3d prints known by the community at large(not just industry insiders) to be dogshit, repeatedly leaving unhappy customers. An insane fulfillment schedule for their customers who spent the most amount of money getting their shit last years after everyone else.
And then still after a year, has fuck all to show for it except where people can point out they've spent a ton of money, while now having to re-engineer the models to be done with injection molding(duplicating work so more cost) while partnering with a company for that, known for it's shit shipping and handling rates to anyone outside of Europe and still not a word about distribution.
All the while continuing to piss off their existing customer base and even changing the terms of their community license, because as it turns out a company needs to actually make money to exist and not just act like some kind of entertainment charity.
Does any of this sound like they've been good with money?
I don’t think I hate anyone in the 5E community more than Indestructoboy. He might be a bigger faggot Linkara. He makes Linkara look like John Cena. He’s supports movie bob levels of pro-leftwing terrorism at that. Indestructoboy could support his own thread like sabersparks.
I'm 5 minutes into this video and he's talking about too much crunch in 5e, getting a group of players from an after school club to make some characters. Maybe don't give them the entire fucking product line of options then?
"What do you want to do? What type of weapons do you want to use? How would your character go about doing things? Are they good at speaking, or more of a silent tough guy?" and then actually work with them providing a limited amount of options that fit their answers, and you can have a party of complete novices creating some characters that they'll feel like they've had input on making in a matter of 20 minutes. He's a fucking idiot.
Skipped ahead to about 12:30 and he's complaining about people whining about it being euro-centric and the culture war bullshit, and how there are setting guides... except WotC hasn't published a proper fucking setting guide for anything in a decade at this point. Skimming through more if it, he's not necessarily wrong about everything but he's also a retard for taking this long to notice some of this shit.
