It was ridiculous. It's just unacceptable to me that someone who claims to love someone else wouldn't make an effort to show interest in things that they enjoy. At least every once in a while, she won't even do that. She's never bothered to do something Becky wants to do except go see her family and I strongly suspect that was only because she wanted to keep an eye on Becky and needed a chauffeur and who would do that if Becks was away for days at a time? She not only shows no interest, she actively puts down Becky's interests. She did it with Dusty, too. Remember that picture that Becky drew? AL went out of her way to show it, talk about how good it was, then proceed to make sure everyone knew she had copied it from another piece. Why would you do that? She wasn't going to sell the damn thing at Saatchi's. The way she passively aggressively talked about Beck's hair. She's just the worst.
Amber I know you read here and I want you to know that in relationships you have to think about the other person too. It actually made me sad how hurt Becky was when Amber refused to come see Black Panther. And now the same thing with Avengers. Yet she expects Becky to sit through every shitty YA novel based movie. This might come as a shocker to you Amber but you might actually learn something new and grow as a person (and I don't mean sideways) if you venture out of your comfort zone for once. Go do different things others enjoy and want to share with you. Venture out of the YA world. Next time Becky wants you to go see an action movie she really wants to see, go with her. Just pretend all the characters are Miley Cyrus and Blake Lively.

I'm :dumb: because I really do not understand why she cannot do anything to please someone else other than her. All her so called gifts are actually a gift she can benefit from. Like the television "Becky begged and begged her to buy". I'm not even going to address the Density christmas gift galore here. They go see different movies and Amber calls it a date

I kind of got that impression as well. She doesn't know how to cope with criticism in general, but especially when she's confronted with the fact that it's not how she looks, it's who she is.
