That's just...really sad. How can anyone be proud of that mess? It's like a bad K-Hole hallucination in ink form.

I'm not too well versed in tattoo culture, but I'm pretty sure a group of random, disparate icons spotted around one area without a common theme isn't exactly considered a "sleeve".

Sleeves, as I understand it, are supposed to sort of blend together into a single large tattoo. What Phil has is a Kindergarten art class exhibition.

If Phil keeps going he's not going to have any space left on his body to tattoo. I know very little about tattooes myself but these are all absolutely terrible, like it's been said in this thread you'd think it was random doodles from a child's scrapbook that had been just transferred straight over to his arm.

I laughed hard at the tiny bicycle randomly on the forehead of the guys face as well, he just has to throw his autistic love of bikes in there even if they add nothing of value to the tattoo. I guess the funniest thing is that he's so proud of this tattoo that he felt the need to share it to begin with.

What's going to happen if/when Phil finds out cycling isn't what he thinks it is and that he's not really cut out for it?

Well, he hasn't got himself a bike yet, has he? Its not that hard to find one, especially in the bike-crazy cities on the west coast.

Personally, I think he's scared of riding since the last one "hurt his balls".

@Bassomatic, ADF always ends up leaning towards being Catholic. That's what he knows... Or at least what he's familiar with.

Actually, that seems to be a running trend with Phil, even more than most lolcows. Everything he 'creates' is loosely built around his own limited worldview. Australatina seems to owe more to the eastern seaboard of the US than any Latin American country. He even named part of it Gloucester, IIRC, references the extinct Beothuk people (from modern day Newfoundland) and the whole country vaguely looks like a map of New York state.

Its the same thing with Catholicism, though from the FB correspondence with his aunt it would seem he attended a Protestant church with his mother, at least for a time. Nonetheless, he does use a lot of Catholic imagery in his Australatina artwork, including not just the rosary but also the sacred heart as well. I suspect in his mind, he made a lazy association between 'Hispanic' and 'Catholic,' as Roman Catholicism is, at least historically, the dominant religion in Spain as well as Mexico, the Caribbean, Central and South America, plus California, the American Southwest, Florida, pretty much everywhere the Spanish conquistadors conquered and colonized.

Yes, the irony that Phil rants about being trans and fighting the cishet patriarchy while glorifying a culture of white European Christians who conquered, enslaved and forcibly converted brown indigenous people seems entirely lost him.

That is the symbol of chaos undivided

Although he really should just get the symbol of nurgle god of pestilence
Nurgle_mark.png

Yeah, not to sperg out over Warhammer or anything, but Phil is pretty much the unwanted bastard love child of Nurgle and Slaanesh.

This reminds me though, @Weeping With Pity mentioned that Phil's former obsession Dusty was into Warhammer back in the day. How aware of Warhammer is Phil? Did he ever play? Or was he too poor, stupid and/or clumsy to get into it? It doesn't seem like something Phil would get into, and we'd almost certainly sperg out and post tons of pictures and shit about being some 'special beautiful little Daemonette' or some crap, but Phil also tries to ape the interests of people he's obsessed with so who knows.

he is probably referencing actual chaos magick because it is common in the hobo community. (despite the actual tenets of chaos magick being diametrically opposed to such a lifestyle)

Huh, didn't know Chaos Magick was all that popular with hobos. Or is it just the more trendy crust punk types, because that I could believe. Either way, I don't see Phil being all that knowledgeable about Chaos Magick, or any other belief system for that matter. Considering how little he research he did on Buddhism during his weeaboo phase, and how ignorant he is about Islam despite posting ISIS shit, I doubt he's going to get into something as (relatively) obscure as Chaos Magick... or indeed anything deeper than throwing around shallow pop culture versions of "Wicca" or "Satanism." Fuck, I don't think he'd be able to sit through The Craft, let alone read a couple of pages of Anton LaVey's Satanic Bible.

Actually, I suspect Phil still maintains a certain level of superstition when it comes to religion in general. He was raised Christian, and even leaned towards the right at one point, and for someone as thick as Phil its unlikely he'll ever drift too far from his roots. Sometimes it seems that he is trying to be an edgy teenager to offend God, while at the same time fearing going 'too far' because he might get struck with a lightning bolt or giant Monty Python-esque foot (or a foot of Gork if you want; that's it for today's obligatory Warhammer references).

I would assume that Phil did learn of the symbol through an encounter with the concept of Chaos Magick. Chaos Magick has a definite 'counterculture' vibe to it, which seems much more like Phil's kind of thing than Warhammer or Moorcock(I think the name would bother him). Of course, I think it's as safe to assume that Phil knows as much about Chaos Magick as he does about Communism, Latin culture, or cycling.

Phil is going to feel really fucking dumb if he starts taking his meds, wakes up from his decade long manic schizophrenic fog, and takes a look in the mirror.

What's going to happen if/when Phil finds out cycling isn't what he thinks it is and that he's not really cut out for it?

He doesn't even have to buy one, there's a few bike-sharing services in the state of California (and elsewhere in the States):

I wouldn't be so sure about that :tomgirl:

Man what the hell is he gonna do when he runs out of space for shitty tattoos? Increase cheese consumption tenfold to acquire more pure fat to tattoo?

This reminds me though, @Weeping With Pity mentioned that Phil's former obsession Dusty was into Warhammer back in the day. How aware of Warhammer is Phil? Did he ever play? Relevant quotes from Dusty:

"I don't think I ever talked to Phil about Warhammer. I tried to get him interested in RPGs, but he had a level of contempt for them I usually only see in people who insist that their Magic collection being more expensive than their house doesn't mean they're a 'gamer.' I doubt he knows what a d20 is, much less the Ruinous Powers. [...] Mostly, I seem to recall he got pissy whenever I suggested we do anything that wasn't originally his idea, be it just the two of us, or the anime club, or whatever. [...] Like I said to Michael, Phil is not a bastard child of Slaanesh. With Slaanesh, you want to fuck the abomination, but you feel dirty about it. With Phil, you don't want to fuck the abomination, and you feel dirty anyway."

[Here the conversation wandered a bit, and then I mentioned other aspects of the thread]

"I know we never talked about paganism, and if he's going around pretending to be Wiccan, it's giving me new appreciation for the notion of burning witches at the stake. I certainly never taught him anything about it. [...] Satanist? No, he never said anything. Given my history, I'd've cut him off then and there, you know that. [...] He never let me talk about books; that would be something he didn't initiate, so it was verboten. So no, I don't think we ever discussed Elric."

Clearly he's referencing the Potato Church.
The only question is he a follower of the Plain Potato Church or the Ancient and Orthodox Potato Church?

Phil is so fucking terrible that he has become the one thing that the Prince of Pleasure wouldn't fuck.

No, not just that, Phil wouldn't be accepted into Chaos because Chaos has higher standards than him. That is saying something.

Iconography of Christ's head in the center of a cross IS actually a traditionally Mexican/Latin American image, so I thought he meant that the arrows were a crucifix rather than the small rosary, but I'm giving him too much credit again. It's more likely to be that chaos magick symbol because with that pentagram necklace he wears everywhere you can tell that there's a love of Hot Topic goth shit beneath all this Latinxx posteuring.
