If you really wanna solve the bot crisis you gotta change the rules. This kumbaya 'We love TF2 please fix TF2 so we can love it and pay you more' combined with tf2 youtubers posting sad thumbnails of their stupid sonas obviously isnt working. Pivot to complaining that the bots are racist/transphobic and affecting PoC players and Valve will do nothing to help because gabe's inaction mean that hes probably in the klan and supports the bots. The only thing big game companies fear is bad publicity and getting cancelled by the focused waves of the internet hate machine, you gotta use that to your advantage somehow.
Uh, no. Complaining about muh racism resulted in Valve completely fucking over F2Ps and the introduction of the Text Filtering system that's enabled by default. We don't need TF2 to be kicked in it's rotting gut any further.

Speaking of Mann Up, my friend who cheats on that mode invited me to help speedrun couple of my tickets and it was very interesting. The seething was so insane and almost exclusively from 50+ tours people. They would throw actual tantrums, doing stuff like going pyro and trying to push the bomb carrier forward while spamming in chat to kick him, instead you know, just leaving. It was actually insane how seriously they treated that mode. It wasn't about anything but their ego. They think that just because they can do this easy, repetetive, braindead activity for 400 tours (1600 completed maps) they are some kind of respected individual who cant tarnish their reputation now? None of the sub 50 tour guys cared and in fact were grateful to him while doing stupid builds and having fun or afking to do something else. Very pitiful behavior from Trann Up addicts.

The worst part about the Gas Passer IMO is that it really isn't a press to win button. You still have to deal with tanks and giants, and the Gas Passer is a very unreliable weapon. It's good for stealing a bunch of kills and looking like you're contributing, but it really only helps you with dealing with the easiest parts of a wave. Yes it's blatantly OP in the hands of an experienced player since it literally deletes whole waves at a time (and there's a trick you can pull off if you need to deal with packs of giants/large robots to deal a crapton of damage) but the way most brainless pyros use it you could just kick them and you would barely notice a difference. In other words, it makes the wave more boring but doesn't make it easier the way most pyros use it.
They contribute in a way where they learn nothing. You see them buy the one upgrade, charge head first into bots, throw the gas, deal lots of damage, die, buy back because they don't have a use for money anymore and repeat. It's not very fun playing with autopilot teammates. Bonus sadness if they're trying to gas the tank as well.

you want to talk about even more boring gameplay? look at scottish resistance demos with their medic gfs making the entire game a borefest because they instakill pocketed giants, i hate that sticky launcher so much it's unreal.
Not that different from Gas Passer steamrolls. If I wanted to AFK and watch things die, I could just play Cookie Clicker instead. Killing everything for the rest of the team all the time isn't a favor, some stupid niggers have trouble comprehending this.

And you could kick them without any real impact on performance because the robots they kill are the easiest part of a wave anyway. If your team can't deal with hordes of small robots you're fucked with or without the gas passer. Plus you can use those kills for better purposes, like health on kill, banner rage, etc. which you lose to the gas passer. If anything it's a net negative.

bad players will remain bad players no matter what happens, if it wasn't for the gas passer it would've been for something else entirely.

and also just because they don't see any use for money, that doesn't mean they don't need, doesn't matter which pyro it is, he still needs to upgrade his cheap primary and improve his survivability, or he'll get killed even before he gets the damage for the passer, then it also depends per mission and teammates if he gets the funds for it.

right and wrong, when it's about killing high value targets and groups of heavies/soldiers/whatever is slow and hits hard, the scotres dominates the game, but when it's about handling trash/intermittent mediums, the scotres flops, and needs the rest of his team to function, which if the rest of his team covers that part, then it becomes a gg no re really fast.

gas passer spam has a generalistic impact and doesn't need team presence to function:

  1. you need groups of trash/intermittent mediums handled? throw the gas passer, they don't exist anymore/their health goes down to be handled easily right after
  2. need to waste a giant/s and his entourage? throw the gas passer, the entourage dies and the giant is ready to be cooked by your team,
  3. exceptions are giant medics and bosses, you just do intermittent spike damage to them while you cook them with the flamer.

This feels like waving TF2's corpse like a flag. It's strange seeing them drop references to a game people are asking them to fix ironically in a game the same people are saying Valve is paying too much attention to.
 
Unpopular opinion but this fixtf2 shit is retarded , not exactly retarded but timing for doing it is extremely retarded.

Whatever remains of TF2 Team and only TF2 Team's contractor are busy finishing 64-bit port (probably goal is summer update) and deprecating 32-bit TF2 client and TF2 servers completely. They won't have resources for #FixTF2 and therefore it will be quickly backlogged and if Gaben or other high ups in Valve take notice, TF2 Team can easily shoo em away pointing out 64-bit port as being major update and being worked on.
