This + Microsoft's vague branding philosophy is a recipe for maximum circular discussions in operations meetings.Adding cloud-connected or AI shit to on-premises products.
I'm testing an upgrade for a product we use and the new web UI has been shit up with at least two things requiring another subscription. And you apparently can't even turn the fucking buttons off.
One is a remote analytics service, click on it and it says "please enter your subscription data in the setings" I found where it gathers and uploads data and now it says "please turn on data collection" No, I want the button gone.
Another is for an AI accelerator for writing code you run in the system, but all that button does is goes to their sales page for the tool. It's not even something this web UI would have access to as it's an add-on for the developers machines.
Fucking cunts.
I finally caved and started going for a Microsoft Cert this week after a decade of avoiding professional creds for their environment like the plague, and a lot of tendencies and conversations with coworkers who were alumni started making a LOT of sense.
