Feedback Technical Grievances

  • 🐕 I am attempting to get the site runnning as fast as possible. If you are experiencing slow page load times, please report it.
This isn’t really a grievance but I wanted to ask, I saw that the secret watcher got notifications turned on and I was going to ask if you could do the same for my boy @Drip irrigation. He does the same things but usually on peoples profiles and sometimes other threads instead of A&N.

Not sure if this is a problem but I saw there's a lighting icon called "what's new" at the top right, however it goes away if your browser window is too big. I assume it should always be there, but I might be wrong.

It is identical to the "what's new" tab on the left at higher resolutions.

I keep getting "You must wait 20 seconds before posting" and it keeps cycling back, making me unable to post.

Coming back to say alerts are still broken.

This time, I got notified for a post I did not make. I don't think I've ever engaged in this thread, so it was confusing to me as to why I'd get alerted over this. And this is the only alert I've gotten since the last time I posted in this thread. Null either roll back the change or fix this, please.

Can confirm alerts are being spotty right now. Didn't get notified about new posts in watched threads (like the stonetoss thread I watched yesterday). I just started receiving the alerts now, after catching up with the threads.
To be fair, it often happens I never find out a thread I participated in has a new post until months later because the alerts are broken until I manually go to that thread, then they start working again for a brief while, and stop working after a week or so. Maybe this is why people are relying on rating/sticker alerts, those were usually more reliable than new posts alerts in watched threads.
This is partially mended by having the Watched threads section on the homepage now, at least.

When logged in, the profile icon does not appear when using the Stealth (2021) style in contrast to other styles having the profile icon be shown. This makes it difficult to assess profile settings when using this style.

Yes I am not getting any alerts for post reactions.

incredibly minor grievance but I was curious to why in the smilies section we can insert as a smiley every reaction sticker except for MATI.

There's a top hat sticker but it isn't the same top hat as the MATI sticker.

I don't care that it isn't there as I recognize this is a severely minor and autistic thing to notice was just curious if there's a reason is all, thanks.

Is there a way to have the notification icon indicate there are new notifications until all notifications have been clicked or marked?
Example:
Screenshot from 2024-03-14 18-15-34.png

I have two notifications I haven't clicked yet and thus are still highlighted but the icon doesn't indicate any new ones once I click to expand it. When I have a lot of notifications, especially on mobile, it would help for it to still indicate new ones until I've clicked the links for all or marked them as read.
Not as important on PC because I typically just open each in a tab and then read through the tabs. Unfortunately, I'm on mobile more than PC these days so it's easier to read through one at a time instead of opening them in tabs.

I could have swore it used to work that way.
