Tekken 8

So Michael Murray is having a pretty bad month, since everyone took a shit on him during the last Tekken Talk.

Nobody bought this because everyone knew they made the documentary to push Fuckyourmom. People decided to reply back with "Where's Anna's?"

He had a bitch fit with a lot of people criticizing him, and began blocking them on Twitter. This tweet in the video caught my attention, but I could have sworn this was an older tweet. Either way, it's pretty retarded for Mike to post it (because the Japanese don't want their media censored and more Johnny Somali niggers and migrants in Japan) :

Evo numbers are out, and Tekken lost nearly half of its 2024 numbers. People who aren't Mainman gave up on the game.

If Anna had gotten one, there still probably would have been a little controversy because of the rocket launcher, but at least it would've hidden the Fahk favoritism. Honestly Murray should just be happy that (so far) Fahk reception has been generally positive, though I'm sure he's still seething that Fahk reception was so poor that AK is shoved front and center to the point you'd think AK just came out instead of Fahk. I'm sure complaints will start only once we see his tournament performance, considering how long it takes for opinions to solidify on characters.

Ah, it must be a day ending in Y. Murray must be a prodigy doing whatever he does, because he seems radioactive when it comes to PR.

The EVO numbers aren't too unexpected, though I am a little surprised that every game lost numbers. I guess that's what happens when there's multiple EVOs, since I don't remember SF6 having any real negatives, with the S3 cast being decently well liked. Still looks poor for T8 to lose an extra thousand compared to all the other games.

Supposedly there will be a small update within about a week to fix some unintended behavior and then another update in September. I'm glad they are doing it, but I doubt it's going to be enough (unless they somehow put out an update that removes most realignment after the small patches we got so far). Though I guess if they almost universally buffed backdashes that would be an easy fix that would be popular, but doesn't fit the "just press buttons" mindset they are going for.

there seems to be an esports scene for eldery people in japan with the ages of 60 to 90 years, in which a whamen called Yoshie Murabe won. And she played Panda of course lol.

Has LTG ever won a Tekken event?

It's a combination of that and travelling to big FG tournaments being less affordable, especially if they're held in expensive as fuck cities like Las Vegas. Conventions have seen a drop in attendees as well and for the same reason, though Tekken 8's numbers have plummeted much more than any other game.

i dont even know if he ever entered one due to his monkey behaviour
He was a Crapcom guy for the most part, but because he provoked all the sjws and tranny fags in the fgc, he's permabanned from events. I don't think he goes to events.

Not even Wrestlemania 41 sold out despite their claims. I remember seeing tickets available online on Night One of WM41.

First nice thing I've heard come out of j-fightan in quite a while. Kudos to QUEEN Yoshie!

Still waaaaaaayyy too many Tekken 8 players. This disgusts me to no end. Kinda surprised about the Fatal Fury numbers though. Does SNK offer like 10 million US dollars and a private meeting with Ronaldo, or what is going on here?

High entrants happens almost every time a new game has its first appearance at EVO. You get a lot of people with the "this is a fresh start, imdabes" mentality.

First place at EVO in Fatal Fury also qualifies for the SNK World Championship 2025, where the prize pool for that game is $2.5m total (with $1.5m going to first place).

Cute, fucck joka though., i'm downloading it again, 8 really didn't gel with me and season 2 made most of the other tekken playes at the locals drop/play way less. I can't wait for a re-release or collection of legacy games soon. I'd kill to play TTT2 without input delay.

Ah so this is who Tekken 8 was made for.

What's the matter with Joka? Don't know much besides watching a couple streams of his.

I'm curious how long it will take for a classic Tekken collection, unfortunately probably no time soon. I really enjoy T6 (probably for nostalgia though) and TTT2 isn't that different so I don't mind either. T6 is weird, in that I don't hear much about it outside Bob being a warcrime. T6 and TTT2 still hold up visually though, wouldn't need much of a remaster besides engine difficulties I imagine.
Seeing some streamers try TTT2 through RPCS3 does make me hope we get a version with good netcode, since pretty much all of them complained about built in delay. I know Glaciating even got a cloud parsec-type thing so at least the netcode was equal for both players, which is some dedication for what is still probably ass netcode.

Tried out Fahk a few days ago, not sure if he's just really good at low ranks but he feels quite easy. He doesn't really seem to have a weak side, and while his homing moves in neutral are kinda bad, his string homing options seem quite good. Especially stupid you can get a homing safe mid off his charge moves. He is fun from the bit I've played though. I'll be curious if he sees tournament representation, since I guess the "linear" aspect of his moves would come more into play (like 3 and its extensions).

FTFY, your grinding stops at orange ranks and the sweating begins at red ranks.
I'll admit, it was Garyu to Fujin, since my highest before was Flame Ruler. I got a big streak so I got through pretty quick, and then lost to a Hwoarang on promo to fujin (which hey, fair when I'm playing Fahk). You can just bully with 3 and its extensions and most don't know what to do against it.
