Grand finals was pretty meh, Arslan basically got washed until the Nina swap. "I didn't want to play her, [Nina] got nerfed!" Downplayers learn from the best. Anna is pretty wild, no idea what her weakness is supposed to be now.
Although I will say a buffed backdash might be all they'd need to nerf Nina. She's still got stubby range, but you can't really escape. Though I guess they want you just to press buttons, so we'll see if that ever happens (hopefully at least in T

.
Fahk is a terrible boring character btw., I'd rather have Kuni back.
Current Fahk is much better than T7 gameplay wise, but he's still a string mixup character. He needs nerfs, but I doubt he's broken enough to get people to swap to him in tourney, especially when everyone is broken. I'd also like Kuni back but definitely not in T8. She was cancer in T7, and that was supposed to be defensive Tekken. Considering they seem to not account for character playstyle in balance (leading to things like Hwo or Drag), she'd definitely be cancer and probably for a long time.

Dang, that I wonder how many stances will that Madagascar girl have.
Anna got 2 new stances (from 2 if you count crouch dash), which is pretty absurd. I don't think they thought out enough giving her range and such while she still has a bit of the Nina gameplay. Just poorly designed, and it shows with how disliked she is.
Fahk sorta, its what replaced his guardbreak. Though I can understand people preferring guaranteed damage rather than the guess for your life. I think its at least better than Lidia's, but they are both a bit ass.
They do seem to be giving AK some more stance cancels (the T8 staple), but he did have shadow step in T7 at least, and TT2 but it was only for a grab there. The fire stuff is apparently not an install at least, so we'll see, I imagine its either heat or like Jin's psuedo stance where he pulls out the mishima moves. I'm hopeful after Fahk, but obviously AK isn't going to fix the rest of the game no matter how fun he is.
I will give that the game is pretty absurd with stances. Only characters with no stance period is Asuka and Claudio, but you can add Bryan, Kazuya, Nina, and Paul if you don't count crouch dashes/sways. Even 33/39 characters is pretty absurd.
I did see some controversy about the Madagascar girl, namely people upset that there's Africa representative but they aren't super black. I'll have to see their gameplay, but so far they do seem somewhat generic, especially with how many thought it was Elena initially. I almost guarantee she has one stance like the other T8 newcomers, but hopefully its not core to her game plan at least (though thats highly optimistic).
Also, VF6 got another trailer. Looks neat enough, and while I appreciate giving plenty of information, it feels a bit soon. We have no idea for a release date, and if they keep giving out detail by detail I'm going to imagine its going to be around 2027 at the earliest, with the PS6. It currently looks good, but the thing I'd be worried about is whether it will have good netcode or enough of an audience to survive (hopefully do at least better than the new Garou).
