I know things were strained with his family for good reason, but I'm glad they can look back on him fondly. Goodbye Terry.

Anyone can see the road that he walks on is paved in gold
It's always summer, he'll never get cold
And never get hungry, and never get old and gray

You can see his shadows wandering off somewhere
He won't make it home, but he really don't care
He wanted the highway, he's happier there today
Todaaaayyyyyyyy...

Godspeed, you brilliant, one-of-a-kind man.

I wasn't a big follower of Terry, but thanks to friends I was able to know of him and so I checked in the thread every once in a while, and Mister Metokur's TL;DR video helped a lot to catch me up-to-speed. He's one of those few people whom you may not ever know of him personally or a whole lot, but he's recognizable by name and by his own work. He could've been one of the great ones had he not been taken by a serious mental illness, but he's still great in his own way.

Rest in peace, Terry, I hope it didn't hurt or was scary at the end. But at least you're free from your own mind, now.

I had stated in the Mister Metokur thread about a year ago that I was saving this image for a rainy day.

But it wasn't the rainy day I was expecting. (:_(

What the fuck? No this is kinda bullshit. I didnt even follow this thread but this dude was amazing.

I dont want it to be true. I genuinely would have hung out with the dude and traveled around with him in his van. He was a great dude, his own issues aside. Kinda honestly wish I had the chance. Dude seemed like one of those guys who's eccentric but kind of hilariously harmless.

The dude left more of a legacy than most people can say, honestly, in a way. Really kinda sad but as far as living in a certain way, he'd seen more shit and lived more than a lot of people. There are things you take for granted in life... The dude never had the chance to. And in a way people take other people for granted, too.

RIP Terry.

Legit Terry was the only schizo I was rooting for to have an ok life. He seemed like a great guy who should have had an amazing life if he hadn't had the misfortune of having such a horrible illness strike him. His family loved him and he did some amazing stuff even with the burden of schizophrenia. This is sad. Why couldn't it be @Buffalo Bill instead?
