Inactive Terry A. Davis / Terrence Andrew Davis - Creator of TempleOS (formerly LoseThos/sparrowOS)

Me neither but it's possible that post was private. Hopefully she's not going to be hurt by all the people messaging her to confirm. Praying that it's fake.

There's no way people aren't going to contact her, unfortunately. There are too many places speculating about this and the internet always feels entitled to information.

You'd think it would be a public post as she does make them.
I was thinking that too because it's like, what's the point of privating something like that? Like, of course it's going to get leaked, especially when it specifically mentions "his followers and fans of Temple OS" or whatever. And even has a message about donating to charities or something, not that you shouldnt donate to charities but like, if youre gonna solicit that, there's no reason to private it.

I'm gonna be real, I think he's still alive. I know it's a bit too early to tell with online obituaries, but as far as I can find there's no record of a Terry A Davis, Terry Andrew Davis, Terrence A Davis, or Terrence Andrew Davis having a death certificate issued in Oregon or Wisconsin. Call me a sperg if you want, but he seemed like a traditional schizocow, mostly harmless and probably didn't deserve to die.

You might keep it private if you were still composing it and running it past a few people for their opinions before publishing it.

What is odd is that it only mentions Terry, though, whereas some of the capped responses mention both Terry and his mother. I don't think I've ever seen a death notice/obit in respect of a double fatality where the other person wasn't mentioned.

How long does it take for death certificates to be issued in those states, though? It takes several weeks, here - more if there are any kind of legal issues involved.

posting in an epic thread
In all seriousness though, how many people primarily by the internet/memes have we got left this year? We lost Billy, Karl, now Terry. I never expected Terry's story to come to a close this soon. :semperfidelis:
Without being too off-topic, who's Billy?

His mom might have died earlier. Also look how her banner has Terry in it right now, next to other family pictures.

Maybe, although the sister's post specifically says he died while on his adventure (and gives neither a birth nor death date).

Someone on /tech/ claims to have messaged the sister.

Terry may have been completely insane, but that being said, He is the only person I can think of that perfectly embodies the internet. I have nothing but love for Terry because of this. On the same token though, him being gone also brings some semblance of peace here. Atleast he will no longer be stalked and tormented by those glow in the dark CIA niggers.

Not just the Internet, but specifically the Internet before it became homogenized by social media and made brand-safe so it could become another advertisement vehicle just like TV and radio, an Internet that was still the domain of technically-inclined men. Terry embodied the old hacker ethos that has been co-opted by blue-haired entryists for the benefit of multi-billion dollar corporations. They haven't scrubbed the Internet completely clean quite yet, but we're now a step closer. RIP King Terry.
