That hip hop thread...

Alright, I've determined that industrial/experimental hip hop is my favorite sub genre of hip hop. Dalek, Death Grips, clipping., B L A C K I E; all those guys are pretty cool. They take an aggressive, unprecedented approach to the music that they make that I quite like.

Speaking of experimental hip hop, here's some clipping.

You should definitely try to track down Brotherhood of the Bomb by Techno Animal and Bad Blood by Ice; both are collaborative projects between Justin Broadrick and Kevin Martin (aka The Bug) which were some of the first records to define this sound.

You might also like the two collaborative albums between Sensational and Kouhei Matsunaga; the sound is arguably less aggressive than what's been already mentioned but it's still pretty out there.

Obligatory shilling for the hip-hop group since no one posts songs in it anymore: https://kiwifarms.net/groups/kiwis-with-attitude.68/

Thought I'd resurrect this thread with a slice of British hip-hop goodness.

I'm a big Danny Brown fan and never heard that before. He's used that exact flow so many times but it's always good to hear something new from him. Hopefully he puts out something new soon, it's been too long.

I'll need to look into his stuff more.

Heh, I heard this song in the ending credits of an episode of Silicon Valley. The show's got a pretty solid soundtrack.

MC Chris goes for the kind of gimmicky nerd rapper shit, but he's not half bad.

Actually in that same sort of genre, Megaran is pretty great too:

Some of the recordings of his work on youtube can vary, quality wise. But IRL he's a fantastic performer. I've seen him a few times (and he's going to be at Magfest next weekend, fuck yeah) and he does a pretty great live show.
