Not that much of a Destruction fan but still got me this nice tape box last month for 80€. 9 Tapes, at book with exclusive interviews and a shitload of unreleased pictures, a metal pin, a flag, some patches, some posters.

I don't look for new music but this got into my recommended and it kicks ass, thrash with a twangy bass and punk influence
(And most importantly it has a cool album cover)

Posted before about the new Dethklok album and how it just wasn't as good/didn't click with me like the others but after seeing the associated movie it finally clicked and I get it now.

Though the album doesn't have nearly as much to do with the new movie like how the first 3 albums all related directly back to the show, it's definitely much better with context. For better and worse.

Aortic Desecration is a weirdly heartfelt tune that works on so many levels. Horse of Fire is just a powerhouse track and a rhythm guitarists wet dream. Deadface is this albums Murderface track the way "My Name Is Murder" was for Galaktikon. And SOS is is the most uplifting song the group will ever do and is basically a huge love letter to the fans.

Brendon really did put his heart into this new album and I appreciate it so much now.

Symphonic metal anyone? Probably the best release in that genre this year:

Won’t be as good as None So Vile anyways
So u really think it's going to sound anywhere near a near-30 year old album where everyone sans the drummer is still in the band anymore? 🤨

Others can disagree with me but in my view I think that's kind of an unfair comparison. When too many years have passed between one album to another and also when 2 or more key members have departed I think it's just fair at that point to listen to a new album by that band as if it's a totally different band. It preserves a lot of the enjoyability that way when it's not all juxtaposed to their best album from decades ago...Least that's how I see it. And despite the ones who will compare it to 90s Cryptopsy, it's still a good album. I think As Gomorrah Burns will def make ranks among the best death metal albums of 2023 when the year ends.

I was half kidding but unfortunately having a 10/10 album early in your career can be both a blessing and a curse because your fans will compare every subsequent release with that album.

I remember back when fans did their supreme exaggeration performances over how "horrible" The Unspoken King is just because it's a different genre than their usual stuff when it's really not bad at all (besides maybe the annoying clean vocals).

It's literally a good record if you stop being a retard and just take it for what it is. Everything Crypt has done is good to some degree

A new TETRAGRAMMACIDE album will be released in November. It will be named "Typho-Tantric Aphorisms from the Arachneophidian Qur'an".

Video to one of the new songs called "Nuit Arches over the Neither-Neither City of Cubes; Hadit Meditates While Hanging Upside Down Inside a Tesseract-Ka'aba"

Guy from the one man Indonesian BDM project Perverted Dexterity went on Facebook recently to bash a particular song on this album's release cuz BrutalDave from Putridity fame used the fuckin exact same drum notes that the PD guy wrote for him to play on his album on this album as well. Theres a song where the drums are deadass the same. Cant bother linking the post but search Januaryo Hardy on FB you might be able to find the post that way. It's not Tetragrammacide's fault tho, Dave is just a scumbag

Probably, I admittedly haven't listened to them since None so Vile. Most metal bands are good for like 2-3 albums IMO
They're one of the greatest tech death bands of all time, idk how you can't love them. The Unspoken King is the only "deathcore" album they ever did and it kind of sounds more like a deathy experimental metalcore album more than it does Suicide Silence
