Based, I'll enjoy getting through these albums, thanks man.
Mostly was posting that for historic purposes, they're still good bands but besides All Shall Perish they are all almost "prototype deathcore" more than anything (almost in the same way like calling Venom "black metal" i guess). Some of those i'll listen to when I'm more in the old-metalcore-type of attitude more than anything.

When I think of really good first wave deathcore this is the type of shit I genuinely find really good. These albums are is a little later era (like 2004-2005) but this is undeniably deathcore ..at least how I think of it instead of just "metalcore with DM parts" like my last post.

Glass Casket - We Are Gathered Here Today (2004). This album never becomes tired

Suicide Silence - S/T EP (2005). Might come across as fairly normie to post this band since SS are (or were) the hugest in the whole genre but this EP is fucking insane. There is brutal death elements out the ass, and you'll for sure catch some Dying Fetus-style moments on this more than you will any other early band/release of this genre

That's about it for the history lesson. Maybe someday I should write a whole article about early deathcore even though others have done it before, I have loads more to talk about with it since I used to totally love this shit like many years ago.

I grew up with Suicide Silence/Hatebreed/Annotations fans so I'm used to all this but I much prefer the sheer brutality of bands like Sulfuric Cautery. If I'm listening to brutal metal it's cos I'm angry or at the gym!
Can't deny that all these bands are great musicians though.

That's not really metal as much as it's overtly putrid noisy goregrind. - But then again that genre (goregrind) is best when it's just noisy and disgusting-as-possible and not overly metallic & trying too hard to be Carcass

Prime example ⭐⭐⭐

This is just where it's so gross it almost becomes its own thing. Also Gut really needs to get their whole discography on Spotify

Nigga come on!

Also what's with Last Days of Humanity? Are they connected to First Days of Humanity? Is it the same project?

Yoo we talking goregrind?

I love Lymphatic Phlegm, County Medical Examiners and Blasted Pancreas

CME openly state they are a Carcass worship band which I can respect

@Madre Muerte also re synth these guys fucking SLAY. Synth infused brutal death metal but that doesn't do them justice. I've shown @Molesting the Decapitated these before, one of my favourite albums to do a few bongs to 💀

Wait... you know Sulfuric Caughtery and not Last fuckin Days of Humanity? are you shitting me? :O

Idk a ton about First Days I've seen the band before tho and if my memory reserves me right I believe that's a parody of LDOH (yes they're so big they even have parodies of their band which brings the realization that you've never heard of them before more pronounced). All I can say is you better listen to their discography, all of it. Thankfully they just recently added it all to Spotify. Screenshot 2023-09-26 005137.png

Just here to sperg about Dark Tranquillity, because holy fuck do I love this band. It doesn't look like they'll be continuing to put out much music together in the future, but at least Mikael Stanne (vocalist) is still working with other bands like Grand Cadaver and The Halo Effect. DT basically defined my music taste when I actually started listening to music for what it was, paying attention to lyrics, appreciating the technical skill of instrumentalists, that sort of thing.

New TREST album. Black Metal from Germany.

And I somehow missed that a new NECROPOLE album was released in the end of the last year.

The name rings a bell but I think my hazed mind just thought it was FDOH lmao.
As if they're this big man! How have I not come across them 🤣
Also based Spotify, fucking love that app.

I’m tired of faggy bands pretending like current social issues and tranny dick sucking are in any way even remotely metal. It’s incredible to me that this genre of all things kowtows to that bullshit. Any bands that are against that shit? Obviously there’s all the NSBM, I know all them they’re easy to find. I’m talking something more generically conservative, even a frontman who somewhat based that I can support, and has decent music. Apologies if this has been discussed before.

This is just a one-off, but still good and meets your standards.

New BAXAXAXA album. If you miss 90s Black Metal then here you go.

More of it needs to make it onto Spotify. Need more of that era of the genre and less Këkht Aräkh 🤮

Thy Art Is Murder's vocalist got booted just a few days ago cuz he wrote something "offensive" about troons online 😂😂 you can't make this up. Current-day deathcore is especially bad when it comes to the "oh no don't cancel me pls" virtue signaling faggotry. All your BPD ex girlfriend has to do is simply write a tweet about you and then you're instantly out of the band that you spent years of life in. Worst part is that's no exaggeration at fucking all.

We had a tranny musician cow awhile back, don't remember what page that started in.

Anyway, if some people here noticed I listen to basically every subgenre so I hope industrial is acceptable here lol.

The supposed story is that this is the very last song that Wayne Static recorded lyrics for before his death and the video consists of outtakes from Waynes Assassins of Youth video and some instagram post on the Static X page said that Wayne's younger sister corraborated this info.

Not sure if I have already posted it but KOMMODUS put out a new album too.

Easily one of the best current day Black Metal bands. If you have never heard of Kommodus you need to check out the "An Imperial Sun Rises" album.

I'm on a huge BLUT listening spree at the moment. Drone/Doom/Noise/Sludge from England. Very filthy, slow and dark stuff. The guy who played drums on Electric Wizard's "Witchcult Today" and "Black Masses" album is behind Blut.

-> YouTube channel with all their albums
