Very good taste IMO. It’s funny, those two bands you mentioned I still see people argue whether or not they were truly hair metal. For me, they both were the real deal as in I think they more than just hair bands. I love both bands, but in particular, Out of the Cellar is in my top ten all time albums. Perfect blend of 80’s metal, the emerging hair sound, and just a dash of some of that AOR goodness. DeMartini and Crosby (RIP) were two of the greatest guitar heroes of the 80’s.
W.A.S.P. came a little stronger out of the gate as a metal band. They’re one of those bands where I always thought the debut was the best they sounded, and each release was a little worse. Crimson Idol is hard to deny though. Great Misconceptions of Me and I Am One rule. Tons of fan favorites on that one.
