Wacken cucked. People getting all bent out of shape over patches.
View attachment 9364148

The fuzz about this year's Wacken is that allegedly people who wore anti-AfD patches (this political party if you never heard of it), rainbow flags and anti-Nazi patches were denied entry to the festival while people with alleged Nazi patches and symbols were allowed to show them openly.

The later is clearly bollocks. Most actual Nazi symbols like the Hakenkreuz, SS runes or the SS Death head are banned in Germany. Wearing them in public is a crime. Wacken as one of the biggest metal festivals will clearly not allow this to happen. The Wacken organizers have become professionals and know their shit.
The alleged Nazi patches that were allowed to be shown are more likely patches from sketchy bands (Burzum, Satanic Warmaster, Graveland, Peste Noire, yadda yadda) or the Confederate flag or something like that.

People having to remove their evil patches that might hurt other people's feelings or getting refused entry has become common for Metal festivals in Germany, especially in West Germany and especially for all the big ones (Wacken, Party San, Summer Breeze, etc) for a long time now.

Was surprised to learn this is in any way a thing in Europe, but it seems they are out there
I don't think I've never seen one in eastern Europe, at a gig or otherwise. I will never get over how this flag became demonized in the last 20 years or so by the likes of the ADL, SPLC and other (((pressure groups))). I wonder if their European counterparts like Open Society Foundations do the same thing in my neck of the woods.

Some fags on Reddit claim that the security at Wacken had guys spotting black suns and other "evil" symbols which again, sounds like utter bullshit. It's Wacken, not some random small town festival in Eastern Germany.
With Reddit, I have a simple rule of thumb: it's bullshit, unless ironclad evidence to the contrary surfaces. And that never happens. :smug:

Demonization of the Confederacy is a direct result of an immigrant population with no personal roots to the tragedy of the American Brother War. To them it was simply a vapid Harry Potter-esque triumph over racism.

Most of the time too, these fucking slack jawed faggots don't even actually listen to metal. Gatekeeping is a great thing and we collectively need to do it to keep shit from turning pozzed like mainstream music.

Vulvodynia (that shitty overrated south african deathcore band that used to aggressively insist that they play slamming brutal death metal music, and would throw tantrums whenever you'd tell them they don't play slam) just announced they hired a fucking tranny
Thats an odd choice, but the funny thing is their band name essentially means vagina pain lmao.

Anyways ive been revisiting later exodus and their atrocity exhibition a and b are still amazing.

Shovel headed kill machine, the album before part A is also amazing. Unpopular opinion but I like these more than bonded in blood. And fun fact, their vocalist (their first one i guess in the early 2000s started a new band called tenet which was also pretty good.

Either way, ive been super happy that thrash has had a few revivals. Havok is prob the best still pumping stuff out.

I had a Confederate flag patch on my denim jacket when I was at primary school, because I thought the Dukes of Hazzard were cool. Other patches included: a big Formula 1 car (Nigel Mansell), the Teenage Mutant Hero Turtles (height of the UK ninja panic, I suppose), and a Sex Pistols thing (because I was a cool and rebellious seven-year-old.)

Honestly, it was a better battle jacket than the one I have now. It had BraveStarr on!

Anyway here's some 324.

If anyone is into old school death metal, take the time to listen to the greatest 90s DM album ever conceived. Behold the very mysterious Infester from the pacific northwest. They only released this one album, and good lord it sounds like literal Hell. I wish the drummer did more blasts; cuz holy shit he's fast. However the vocals are some of the deepest without getting into guttural territory. The sound is best described as everything that is early 1990's death metal, but just cranked to 11+ 🎛️

FFO: Incantation and Cryptopsy

Since this album's release, it's gotten somewhat of a cult following in the decades after the fact. Also, there is very limited info about Infester online, only the drummer has continued to make music. There is no interviews or even live footage of the band performing. Worth mentioning too, that they were supposedly teenagers around the ages of 16–18 when creating and writing this fucking masterpiece. For an essay-type of video on the band to learn as much as you probably can, I very much recommend seeing this. This guy's channel is awesome too

Nahh, too overrated for my liking.
Weirdest gutturals ever, though I will say that Antti deserves credit for pioneering one of the oddest and most distinctive vocal styles out there.

As for the music itself, I can see that it's aiming to be unconventional and strange, but I don't think it pulls it off well enough to keep me engaged throughout the entire runtime. If I'm in the mood that whole "avant garde"/weird-as-shit death metal style, I'd much rather listen to Obscura or Seepia. Those two albums execute that unusual / very strange / experimental approach far more effectively, in my opinion.

🇯🇵 Japanese band called Ritual Suicide, who only did one demo in 1998.
Holy shit, this is so goddamn trippy and bizarre.

I want to know what the lyrics of Vagina Troll are about but sadly we will probably never know
Fuck it,
this is now an Infester thread.

Anyone remember Meat Shits? Infester were actually the backing band for the badly named Robert Deathrage, i feel like thats a stain on their career. Such talented artists writing and playing songs for this fucking Seth Putnam clone's shitty joke band. We probably could've gotten a second Infester album if they used that material for their own songs. I hope he payed them well enough.

Funniest thing about Meat Shits is they have an album called Sniper at the Fag Parade.

Infester guys did actually perform on this.

And also Robert Tardrage goes on this extremely long winded stupidly long rant in the booklet about how he hates gays and he's not a "racist" for being so (even though anyone who is not a fucking retard knows thats just homophobia, not racism... I don't think he knows what racism is)

Lastly for a dude who calls himself "the number 1 fag killer", he ironically looks a little zesty
