Going early deathcore.

(More melodic, its the way things were goin')

This is a mix I guess, more metalcore/melodeath but still from same timeframe. Underappreciated.

Pretty good but this is when Rings of Saturn was up and coming so every other band became alien metal (Abiotic, Aversions Crown, The Faceless was kinda alien metal, Lord of War... there were a lot, but they were pretty much all good tech deathcore bands!)

Aliencore mentions:

That and ragheads will actually try to murder your ass for shitting on their faith.

It's funny to me how being pro Christian is now counter culture to a degree lol
Rock and Roll's anti-christian streak has imo been a decades long safe-edgy farce. Rock and metal bands rarely if ever strike our against any true sacred cows. If metal wants to be edgy again it needs to name the jew.

Funny that you say so:

Did you not even like the Hangman's Hymn re-recording?
I was aware of Mirai's opinion of Graveward. But he said that while promoting Heir to Despair which is a trash album, so we clearly think differently.

I've probably given the HH re-recording one listen, and the drumming and production is better but Mirai's vocals are so much worse, and for the life of me I don't know why he lets his wife do anything except play the sax. Her voice is abysmal. The original HH is fantastic, if he didn't like it he should have just remixed or remastered it.

I'll be a little fair to Mirai. He's older, he had kids way late in his life, he's talked about fearing death and getting old. If his music isn't as fun as it used to be, maybe that's just part of him ageing. Nothing really wrong with that.

The new Devourment EP on 7''

Tech death day?

FIRST FRAGMENT - The least faggoty french canadians ever built.

Their FIRST EP which hooked me IMMEDIATELY.

Brain Drill

Beneath The Massacre

Gallows for Grace

Severed Savior (Half old school tech death, half brutal death metal?)

Inferi - Melo/Tech death.

Diskreet, shares the same guitarist with Inferi. Malcolm Pugh iirc, also in a Loathing Requiem!

Didn't know people was posting a lot here, so here I come. Been listening some good Death Metal and I love to share. I'll try to make some reviews / descriptions. Sorry for my autism. And my ESL, of course.

To say that this EP only sounds like Hate Eternal's debut is to reduce the magic going here. While yes, the band has a "blast" oriented sound (that also reminds me a bit to bands like Rebaelliun), and vocals reminds me a lot to Erik Rutan, this band has some "original" touch in their sound, I don't know how to explain it. They take some time to let some originality flow instead of just using blast beats during all the songs.
Some parts also remind me to Kataklysm (the Sylvester era, of course), I think track 3 had a opener than reminded me a lot to “The Awakener”, even the vocals reminds me a bit to Sylvester and, also, to Dave Rotten (from Avulsed / Christ Denied) when they get at the lowest.
All I can say is, please, GO LISTEN. An overlooked EP than needs more love, and new bands should hear.

Either this or their debut. But I think this is a good introduction to this band (which in the past was Sacramentary Abolishment, or at least shared members). The bass here sounds nice and that drummer is a fuckin' beast. I guess this is more War Metal than Death Metal, but that won't stop me to recommend it.

Brutal Tech Death Metal influenced by IMMOLATION (“Here In After” era?) and with some touches of NILE. Although in this album they really show a strong NILE influence. The first description would fit better for their EP “Transfiguration To The Ancientsʼ Form”, but I decided to pass their first Full-Length as it has less attention, it seems. Believe me, these Italian dudes DON'T miss. A nice mix of Technicity and Brutality. If you like the mentioned bands (and Brutal Tech Death in general), go listen. Either this or their mentioned EP, both are masterpieces.
Sadly the mix on this Full-Length is a bit fucked up, but not bad enough.
