Man this sounds so much better than its counterpart Neckbeard Deathcamp, the lyrics in particular.

These lyrics are high effort shitposts. They're not just funny, they have symbology, metaphors, scope. They rhyme. Also, the music itself sounds more focused and energetic than Neckbeard Deathcamp.

ND's lyrics are pretty much barebones verbatim listings of every known cliché relating to "the alt-right", muh pepes and school shooters, with the occasional whiny stream-of-consciousness, babby's-first-grindcore-band tier rant. The music itself is mostly kinda mid, it just sounds tired and passionless. The only actually funny parts of ND are some song titles, the album graphics and the band's name.

I went into ND expecting a good roasting, but I was thoroughly underwhelmed and mostly left shrugging. The left can't meme for shit lol

Where on earth did you hear that? There is an entire subset of black metal that is all about white power, glorifies the third reich and preaches about european supremacy.

I've been listening to metal for 30 years and I've never heard anything like that. I'd say musicians are definitely more likely to be on the left in general, but metal is mostly not political and just has lyrics about all kinds of wars and dictatorship as far as politics are concerned.

What's a lot more evident is that all the best metal bands are 95% white, which makes me glad.

Is this some kind of meme? Anyway, leftist are a screeching minority that co-opt everything. Of course there will be left leaning bands or bands that predominantly have songs steeped in leftist ideology. But from my personal experience most stuff is either neutral or conservative/right leaning.

I've got a smug remark online that went something like, "You listen to metal, and you're a conservative?" Even though I never claimed to be conservative. He thought this because I said gun control was gay, so I guess that's where he made the connection.

Yeah, that's just Internet Metalheads, the ones that'll honk on about how Metal (never 'metal'; they need to feel their chosen genre is special and deserve Capital Letters) is heckin inclusive and wonderful, unless you've got a patch of a 'sketch' band on your person somewhere. Leftists are unable to grok that some people listen to music and don't give a shit who made it, or why.
