Abortion would likely be deemed medically necessary for a 10 year old in any state, as it's unlikely a 10 year old could bring a pregnancy to term at all, and certainly not without substantial risk to her own body. This is why I called out this story as weak bait. As usual, even when they try and grasp for the most extreme straws they can possibly find, the leftie viewpoint still falls apart. It's kind of telling when you make the connection to the ideology behind abortion-worship. When you strip everything else away, when every straw has been grasped at and smacked away, what they usually are left with is some variant of "you don't have sex." This shows that at the bottom of everything, they view sexual pleasure (not forming families and bearing children, of course, but rather the act of fucking itself) as the ultimate good in life. What is the meaning of life to them? To have sex, to have personal sexual fulfillment. The ultimate put-down, therefore, is that you don't have sex.
This is also why they must defend abortion as a sacrament, because casual sex and other self-gratifying sexual behavior is the ultimate good, to the exclusion of anything else. They actually value the ability to have sex without consequences as worth the purposeful taking of human life. It's feminism reaching its logical end point. There is also a connection in that these people are more often atheists, and the more extreme they are in worshiping abortion, the more likely they are to be atheists (and likewise, the more religious someone is, the less likely to support abortion). Instead of worshiping God, they have made personal sexual fulfillment their object of worship.
