This hurts so bad, I'm so tired of pawing at dozens of near-identical glass rectangles.actual buttons

Unfortunately, this aesthetic is not common, anymore.

I'm rather ambivalent towards the sleek minimalistic 50's/60's future look. On the positive side, I'm old, so it reminds me of the good old days of watching Shakespearean actors fly around in cardboard starships and I like the naturalistic shapes and curving lines. On the other hand it's the larval form of our modern architectural and design hell.
