I can see why they'd want to bury that motto.

Well that's odd. They always make me sad.I like pictures like these. Dunno what you'd call it.
I did grow up in a relatively flat area. In car rides I liked looking out into the distance at radio towers blinking at night. Think it's similar to those liminal spaces pictures, I get a strange wistful mysterious kind of feeling.Well that's odd. They always make me sad.
Without PLing, what kind of environment did you grow up in? What was the sky like?
That is how I feel about people who paint exterior brick, or interior brick. The texture and color gradients of masonry are interesting, especially as it ages, and it often needs no maintenance other than tuckpointing every two decades or so. By painting brick, not only do you often ruin the point of having it in the first place, but it will look even shittier as the paint wears away, so you have to do it every few years.I’m seeing a lot of hate for old redder toned wood finishes. All being stripped and paint washed white. People who damage antique furniture by painting it should be shot.
(Yes yes if it’s not an amazing piece and it’s totally fucked otherwise then fine, but I’ve just watched some twit remove the old deep finish on some parquet flooring to leave it looking like ikea and it’s sad…)
Post images!Instagram is now serving me people literally bleaching wooden furniture with bleach and I hate it.
I tried to use instagram as a source of interesting aesthetics but it always shows me the most boring/normie shit imaginable. The same goes with everything else on that platform.Instagram is now serving me people literally bleaching wooden furniture with bleach and I hate it.
The account was bluewreninteriors - whhhyyyyyy do they take the deep patina off old wood? I do t get itPost images!
Is that like the sad beige trend stuff and the super organised pantries?I tried to use instagram as a source of interesting aesthetics but it always shows me the most boring/normie shit imaginable. The same goes with everything else on that platform.
That’s the one! WHY WHY WHY is everyone stripping wood right back then bleaching it and paint washing it. It looks hideous.
Next has coloured sheets that aren’t too pricey and they have deep fit as well. Not sure if they have the sheets matching the duvet thoughI've just bought a new bed and needed to get some new bedding and I had a very clear idea of what I wanted and I was shocked at how difficult it was to find it! I’m so sick of everything being white and minimalist.
My mattress is deeper than standard and I wanted fitted sheet sets with a matching duvet cover, 100% bamboo +300tc. My bedroom walls and carpet are neutral and my furniture is gray so I was looking for deep, bold colors to complement my curtains. I like my living areas to be moody with rich textiles, crystal chandeliers and mixed metals.
Virtually everything I found at first was either hospital white or concrete cell gray and anything dyed a bold color or with a pattern that didn’t cost the earth was either polyester or a low thread count cotton. I had been looking for berry tones but finally had to settle for teal and dark blue, they're nice and soft but slightly too big so hopefully they will shrink in the wash.
