The Amazing Digital Circus is an animation created by Gooseworx and produced by GLITCH. The animation tells a story about a woman who puts on a virtual headset only to find herself trapped in a virtual world that revolves around a circus and other humans who are trapped like her, except for one person who is an AI that seemingly controls the virtual world.

The animation has gone viral on all social media from YouTube to Twitter. As of this writing, the original pilot has almost 100M views in 4 weeks, beating both Hazbin Hotel and Helluva Boss pilot.

I especially like the quirky neurotic girl main character with the cute design, she's totally me.
Also the smug sarcastic rabbit reminds me of my animes that I watch.
The eyeball man is exactly like a Butch Hartman character, which is very familiar to me as an emotionally stunted ADD addled adult who still watches children's cartoons.

Dumb. People on social media need to be put in some kind of a camp.
 
I cannot hear the word digital and not think of:
"DIGITAL DANCING, HEY THIS IS FUN!"

First, I think it's really god damn funny that the creator has a fetish for drilling peoples' heads. Secondly, it's popularity is going to lead to another sperg fandom being made. Just another one to add to the pile of retarded fandoms.
 
I completely understand why this blew up- it was pretty much synthetically engineered to appeal to retarded tumblristas and their twitter-dwelling ilk- and it annoys me greatly. Really not looking forward to hearing about this for the next several years, but at least it'll make for a good way to immediately tell who I should and shouldn't be interacting with.
 
I don't know if it needs it's own thread with the Glitch thread already existing and only the Pilot out, but I also think some people are getting pretty autistic with their hatred of it.
 
The ringmaster is trying too hard to be the Robin Williams genie, and it looks like they based him off Big Top & MC Ballyhoo, the top hat riding a retard in Mario Party 8.
 
Absolutely... mid. And people wonder why I watch anime. The animation is fine for a personal passion project but not for anything commercial. The writing is bleh, trying way too hard and it's corny as a result. It takes no risks, hence it is mid
 
Eh, it's fine. It's kind of hard to judge a pilot by itself. The ringmaster reminds me of the band The Residents who wore eyeball masks with top hats, and Pomni is pretty much a Don Hertzfeldt character in a jester's suit.
 
On one hand: Animation is hard and I can at least sorta respect anyone who gets a project going and manages to put something out. On the other hand: I hate these sorta "lorebait" shows. Where they're just made to have some bugman youtuber make some gay-ass fan theory video with him making a soyjak face in the thumbnail and a title along the lines of "THE DARK TRUTH OF THE AMAZING DIGITAL CIRCUS EXPLAINED".

Dude literally has the most punchable face in the galaxy, and yeah I know that's probably the entire point of his character but there's a thing such as "too fucking smug and faggot" looking. And what makes it even more irritating is that you know fujoshitters and autistic foidchildren and gonna be creaming themselves all over this purple faggot because "he's such a heckkin smug wisecracking asshole tumblr sexyman u guize, OMG!!!!" *writes 900 pages of fanfiction of him topping their Donut Steel*
Sam from Sam and Max is a much better designed funny haha psycopath rabbit character than whatever Jax is trying to be.

I can't blame animation enjoyers for going absolutely nuts over this pilot. Have you seen some of the current year cartoons as of late?
 
I liked it. Voice acting was actually cartoony and lively, not that stoner/hungover tone with a deadpan "quirky" snark Adventure Time and Bee & Puppycat gave rise to (Pomni's VA will probably need an inhaler before long). A little lore-dumpy at times but at least it wasn't boring. I have a bad feeling that it will do the Gravity Falls thing and spawn secret message decoding autists just to keep up the relevancy. Hopefully not but who knows.

Though I kind of agree. After all along with Pomni, who's the main character, Jax got a plush alongside her despite being a side character (it's like they knew...). Yeah he's an asshole but considering the implied time he's been around, he's probably at that point in this "Groundhog Day: The Game" where he's doing whatever makes him feel alive again. Not a bad thing (he hasn't killed anyone yet) but I'd like to see where it goes.

As for the "fujoshitters and autistic foidchildren" getting their rocks off and wasting their nonrefundable time on this guy? Who cares. Assuming you've seen enough fandoms to know how this song and dance goes, you need to laugh at them and enjoy the show (did you like it or hate it? your rant failed to mention that).

It was whatever. Didn't hate it but I don't think it's really my thing. Still hate Jax's design, but Caine got on my nerves a bit more with his wacky schtick. Again probably the whole point for his character and this is just a personal grievance that I'm sure other people wouldn't mind.
