Looky, looky who is on with Boogie2988. I'm still watching through it, so not sure if there's anything in this yet.

Well most of the YouTubers just ignored the controversy and made it sound like it was no big deal. Seemingly nobody in their audience cares about it, so why not just go back at shilling betterhelp for that juicy sponsor money? Wouldn't affect them anyways.

youtubers really came a long way when it comes to damage control. DeFranco's decision to just post a tweet about it was really smart, and everyone else ignored or made a 2 second comment about it. Streisand effect BTFO

No video at the moment but I just saw a fucking BetterHelp ad on TV

Edit: it doesn't seem to be on YouTube, including betterhelp's channel. Also, proof:

I've seen it twice now on Bravo

There's no mention of Better Help in this Steven-Universe-knock off's video, which I find to be very strange. The guy's talking about some of the biggest controversies and events to take place on YouTube*, including Logan Paul's suicide forest video, the Tanacon disaster, the KSI vs Logan boxing match, Pewdiepie vs T-Series, and Shane Dawson making a documentary about Jake Paul. With the last point in particular, I would've expected him to bring up how Shane's videos were tied to Better Help, but I guess he didn't want to get too controversial. Though then again, I probably shouldn't be surprised by this.

*Yes I know, a lot of these revolve around the Paul brothers and other vapid e-celebrity bullshit. Goes to show what's most important to these people.

"Here's a video about a dude NOT talking about the thing that's the subject of the thread."

... Why post this?

Ah, fuck. I should have conveyed my main point.

It wasn’t that specific video and youtuber I was taking issue with, but rather, the fact that most people “forgot” about the whole BetterHelp controversy. Feels like the whole thing got swept under the rug, which I again find bizarre for how significant the controversy was toward youtubers and audiences as a whole.

But yeah, next time I won’t post content that doesn’t talk about the relevant shit.

Well, keep in mind that most of the people who would normally leap right onto shit like this were actively part of the scam, or friends with people who were. They ain't going to be pointing the spotlight at themselves.
For another, it wasn't really that groundbreaking. Youtubers did not do due diligence and peddled shitty service to viewers in return for shekels. Nobody is shocked.
Thirdly, the guy who was the most tangled up in it handled the fallout pretty smoothly. He pretended that he was selling BetterHelp shit because he genuinely cared about his viewers and thought the product might help, so really, he was just as much a victim as those poor idiots shelling out hundreds for a useless service, amirite? The others took their cue from him, or flat-out did not acknowledge that there was a problem to begin with.

Late on this, but here's a video going after a guy (The Rewired Soul) that defended BetterHelp several times:

Video itself is less about BH and more-so about the guy's questionable background. But for those who want to see BH brought up, skip to like 10:52 in the video.

EDIT:
I forgot to point out this one bit of controversy at the very end:
Primik criticized The Rewired Soul for promoting BetterHelp, yet at the very end, recommended Kati Fucking Morton's channel. Yes, that's right. The chick who had been in bed with BetterHelp right from the get-go. People in the comments called him out on this, and he's tried addressing it.

Reviving the thread I gues...

I recently started to get YouTube adds for betterhelp, centered around harassment support(?). I thought the app was essentially dead and done ever since all the drama.

Well, here's the screenshot for proof.
