The Elder Scrolls

They also kept the Cyrodiil retcon despite it taking place before Talos, and they retcon a bunch of other little things.
King Edward takes place before the Septim dynasty was founded and describes Cyrodiil as a green land with rolling hills.

lol Titus Mede II literally had a body double leading the charge against the Thalmor in the Imperial City.
We don't talk about Legends.

I started playing Enderal for the first time. The first few hours are kinda boring but once it opens up it becomes a lot better. I've heard the ending is disappoint but, oh well, I'll take what I can get. I like the writing for the most part, although like a lot of game writers (even professional ones) the concept of brevity seems to be completely lost on them -- many conversations feel like they go on for a little longer than they should and every tome you pick up has at least 20 pages in it.

Also, I don't know if its Skyrim, something Enderal adds, or if my eyes are just going bad but everything blends together way too easily. I'd probably be constantly mauled to death by the wildlife if they didn't have audio cues because I usually don't notice they're there until they're right on top of me. I turned off depth-of-field and AA (Skyrim uses the 'blur the screen slightly' approach) and I wasn't using ENB (I am now, though; kicking up the sharpness and contrast has helped a lot).

Didn't they establish that a lot of shit with Talos just happens to cause changes throughout all of history? So Cyrodiil not being a jungle is just "how it always was" now?

Isn't this also related to Tiber Septims godhood itself? He didn't actually become a god until the Warp in the West happened, but because it's related to a Dragonbreak his ascension to godhood when he died is just "how it is" now? (in actuality they just didn't decide to make him a god until Morrowind?)

I think most of that was established after they changed the setting in Oblivion. Also anything before Redguard *I* consider 'partly' canon since Kirkbride did the whole lore re-write starting with Redguard and Morrowind.
Their lore reasoning for Cyrodiil being not a jungle is that Talos used CHIM to change the land, in doing so it changed it in all directions (future and past), thus making Cyrodiil ALWAYS a heartland

I took the dive and giving Daggerfall, the remake on unity, a try and I must say.. fuck yeah. With some terrain and QoL mods and it's great. Looks good, plays a lot better than the original and actually has me involved in this. Fuck I may even play through the entire game now and finish what I started 25 years ago.

That's my issue with these Kirkbride purist arguments, he shook up the lore and in a lot of good ways, but it was 100% what we'd consider full on retcons. Then Oblivion retconned Cyrodiil back to a temperate region and new games are 100% going to keep that going forward so that people recognize a province from their favorite game, and arguing about loresperg shit like whether CHIM works forwards or backwards isn't going to change the fact that Bethesda wants people to actually know what they're looking at when they see screenshots of Cyrodiil in ESO.

Well, that's it folks. Skyrim modding has reached it's peak and it's all downhill from here.

go play honey select, Skyrim was not made to be a porn game, and will fry your PC if you try and run it as one
I'm a smooth brain and it took me like a week of fucking around to get it to work without crashing my PC or just working in general. I honestly became more interested in getting the damn thing to work than the actual coomer content that by the time it actually worked I didn't even bother cranking anything out to it.

tl;dr- the juice wasn't worth the squeeze for me

Just another day on LoversLab. Honestly even with all its degenerate shit I respect it for being one of the only modding sites left that doesn't give a fuck about what you post as long as it's not illegal.

What are everyones thoughts on the rumors that Bethesda is going to try a third go at paid mods, but this time with some system that mimics Minecraft Marketplace this year?
