I started playing Enderal for the first time. The first few hours are kinda boring but once it opens up it becomes a lot better. I've heard the ending is disappoint but, oh well, I'll take what I can get. I like the writing for the most part, although like a lot of game writers (even professional ones) the concept of brevity seems to be completely lost on them -- many conversations feel like they go on for a little longer than they should and every tome you pick up has at least 20 pages in it.
Also, I don't know if its Skyrim, something Enderal adds, or if my eyes are just going bad but everything blends together way too easily. I'd probably be constantly mauled to death by the wildlife if they didn't have audio cues because I usually don't notice they're there until they're right on top of me. I turned off depth-of-field and AA (Skyrim uses the 'blur the screen slightly' approach) and I wasn't using ENB (I am now, though; kicking up the sharpness and contrast has helped a lot).
