Bethesda today partnered with GOG. And they've digitally re-released their TES games up to Morrowind and they're starting to re-release their Id titles.

Right now you can find both Redguard and Battlespire on there, which weren't sold anywhere else previously.

So I was watching Daffy the Wizard and I just realized that it's using Daedric at one point.

I don't really like Vampire Lord form. I'm not sure why, but I'm pretty sure how lame melee form can be is a major factor- the inherent limitations of being a vampire aside. I just want to be a Blood Dragon, damn it. Instead, I have to stick with a gliding pansy that flits about and casts spells.

Something that's been nagging at me while I've been doing the Civil War missions: why doesn't the Empire send Battlemages to Skyrim to help quash the rebellion? Was the one in Helgen the only one operating in Skyrim?

My guess, it would probably make it unfair for those playing as Stormcloaks since Nords, based off some dialogue, don't like magic that isn't restoration. Then again, it can also be a bit of a balance issue since it means those playing against the Empire would have it a bit harder against a battlemage than a regular soldier in a fight.

Eh, the regular soliders are so weak anyways, might as well have a few of them that can actually cast spells just for the hell of it. Besides every other major faction has a few mages in the mix, even the bandits.

Plus, wouldn't Ulfric's use of the Thuum kinda count as magic? In all honesty though, has anyone discussed on which side they chose in the civil war with any reason?

For lore purposes its possible that a lot of battlemages died in the war with the Dominion. I imagine thatte it takes longer to train one than a standard legionnaire plus there is also a smaller recruiting pool. If that was the case perhaps they are too important or valuable a resource to use in combat roles and are instead used for specialist purposes like the interrogator. That or the Empire has more pressing concerns than Ulfric.

I think almos evryone sides with the legion since Ulfric is kind of a douchebag. Most people sign up for the stormcloaks because they've already tried the legions questline and wanna try something new.

Nords would still zerg rush against the mages and scare them with their voice
