The Elder Scrolls

  • 🐕 I am attempting to get the site runnning as fast as possible. If you are experiencing slow page load times, please report it.
I wish Bethesda would spend some time actually fixing bugs that they never touched in Skyrim.

Or releasing Fallout 4 next gen.

Or doing anything at all with Starfield.

Instead they are focusing on ANOTHER fucking mod marketplace?

None of those things make money but if they can sell an Ellianora house mod for five bucks to console scrubs they can recoup the cost of buying ZeniMax. Without SKSE consoles are still not getting anything cool mod wise.

Paid mods for Skyrim (and likely Fallout, Starfield down the road) are back.

For over a dozen years, community-made content has expanded The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim with hours upon hours of fresh experiences, from players sharing graphical tweaks or simple weapon packs to even bringing their own original quests and storylines to life.

In continuing to evolve with the Skyrim community, we are excited to announce Bethesda Game Studios Creations, an updated way for players to discover, download and play community-made content. Creations combines Skyrim’s existing Mods, Creation Club items and all-new Creations under a single Creations menu available for players to browse today in The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Special Edition.

Creators can put up their own Creations for players to enjoy, or even apply to the Bethesda Game Studios Verified Creator Program to set prices for their Creations. That’s right: become a Verified Creator and you could earn a royalty for each of your Creations sold within Skyrim Special Edition.
Creations is rolling out today for Skyrim Special Edition and Skyrim Anniversary Edition for PC via Microsoft Store, Steam and Epic Games Store, as well as Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Xbox One X|S, PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5.
TRY THESE NEW CREATIONS TODAY
What better way to dive into Creations than letting the content speak for itself? We're excited to announce several new Creations coming to Skyrim Special Edition, showcasing the capability and creativity offered by our esteemed Verified Creators*:

East Empire Expansion
Establish and grow trading posts across Skyrim, unlocking new mercantile systems for the East Empire Company! Fill dungeon chests with loot for Company agents to deliver to the nearest outpost - or even to the market on your behalf. This Creation adds quests, fully voiced NPCs and more from Kinggath Creations, known for contributing on Sim Settlements.

Legendary Dungeons – Dwarven Delves
This hefty first dungeon pack from Creator Trainwiz adds two unique & perilous dungeons, offering players tons to delve into. Folks may already be familiar with Trainwiz’s work from classic meme mods involving a certain famous Tank Engine – not to mention the Forgotten Seasons Creation Club item also available in Skyrim Special Edition.

Katja the Thief
Primarily known in the community for making Fallout 4 collaborations, this Creation from Unoctium introduces players to Katja, a voiced Nord follower to join you on your escapades.

Aldmeri Anti-Mage
From Creator Niero comes this lavish Thalmor robe, offering a simple yet stunning outfit for players’ wardrobes. Just because you spend a lot of time adventuring doesn’t mean you can’t look good doing it.

Winterfrost
Creator -TheDogOfWar offers players a beautiful domicile to keep warm from the chilly outdoors. You’ll have to complete a short quest before moving in, but it’ll all be worth it to call the place home.

Arquebus (Skyrim with Guns)
This Creation packs both a dungeon to explore and a unique weapon to boot. Forged by Creator Shoeburglar, players delve into an expansive ruin, facing its Dwemer-made centurions and wielding a mighty arquebus (complete with four variations!)

Shadetree Lodge
Known for making homes in Skyrim, Creator Elianora is a fixture in the modding community and was even a contract developer for Starfield! This Creation offers a cozy player home on the water to hang your hat (or helmet) after a long day’s adventuring.
* Bethesda Game Studios Creations and Creation availability may vary by region, title and/or platform. Please consult the Creations menu on your platform’s version of Skyrim Special Edition for details.

SO, WHAT’S CHANGING?
An evolution of the Creation Club program, Creations enhances how Creators develop and showcase their works to Skyrim fans on a variety of platforms. For those who are already familiar with the previous Creation Club, here are a few of the major changes to look for:

Skyrim Special Edition
The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Special Edition itself is now updated with the new Creations menu and more. For details, including notes on ultrawide monitor and Steam Deck support for PC players, please consult the official Skyrim Special Edition patch notes.

Creation Kit
Our official tool for Creators is also getting an update! A newly added Resource Pack has also been included to get Creators’ feet wet with a selection of art and scripting assets. Creators should ensure they have the latest version of the Creation Kit before uploading their content to Creations.

Creations Website
We are overhauling the Creations website, once the Creation Club site, with improved content discovery, continued highlighting of monthly featured Creations and enhanced features for uploading Creations.
Learn more in our official article on revamping the Creations website, found here.

Creation Credits
Players can still access their original Creation Club items and use Creation Credits (previously Creation Club Credits) to purchase content in the Creations menu. With the debut of Creations, we will be adjusting the names and pricing of Creation Credit Packs, effective December 12.

Note: Creation Credit Pack purchases will be unavailable for Japan, China and Epic Games Store releases of Skyrim Special Edition until December 12.

I guess Starfield tanked harder than they hoped so its time to scrap their decade+ old crusty cum covered couch for some more pennies and gibs. However if anyone ever willingly spends money on Skyrim mods they probably deserved their current misfortunes.

Isn't Elianora a minor lolcow in her own right? I remember hearing that she was a huge diva regarding her player homes or something.

Unrelated to paid mods, but I started my very first playthrough of Morrowind a few days ago. Made a Nord barbarian, having a blast so far. Is there anything I should look out for, gameplay-wise? I just got told that I might be the Nerevarine.

This is probably all just a test for a new creation club UI & system that they'll use in Starfield, no way they're making these changes just for Skyrim.

"we will be adjusting the names and pricing of Creation Credit Packs" lmao.

Is this how you honor the sixth house and the tribe un-mourned? You will never be the Nerevarine. You have no Sunder, you have no Keening, you have no Wraithguard. You are an n'wah outlander twisted by false prophecy and imperial propaganda into a crude mockery of Azura's perfection.

All the "quests" you do could be accomplished by a Khajiit skooma addict. The Blades mock you behind your back. Your Cyr*dillian handler is disgusted and ashamed by you. The guilds of glorious Resdayn mock your corprus infected appearance behind closed doors.

The Ashlanders are repulsed by you. Thousands of of years of failed messiahs have allowed Ashlanders to sniff out frauds with incredible efficiency. Even potential Nerevarines who "pass the trials" look uncanny and unnatural to a true Dark Elf. Your Atmoran bone structure is a dead giveaway.

You will never fulfill the prophecy, you wrench out a fake smile every day but deep inside you feel the depression creeping up like Nirnroot, ready to crush you under the unbearable weight.

Eventually it will be too much to bear - You'll buy a rope, tie a noose, put it around your neck and plunge into cold Oblivion. The Great Houses will find you, relieved that they no longer have to live under the unbearable shame and disappointment. They'll bury you in a grave marked with your birth name and every passerby until the next Kalpa will know that a N*rd is buried there. Your soul will fuel the Ghostfence and all that will remain of your "legacy" is a skeleton that is undeniably an n'wah.

This is your fate. This is what you chose. Reroll a Dunmer.

There's been signs pointing to this for a while now, since before Starfield released.

Bethesda just won't let the dream die.

Wow, it's all trash. I'm not even going to bother pirating this shit. Is Elianora still a "fixture" of the modding community? Eight or ten years ago, yeah, but people today don't give a fuck about her overly cluttered player homes that aren't compatible with the most popular lighting mods. Player homes are basic bitch modding, barely above making a bodyslide preset. The only reason she works for Bethesda is because she's been banging the CEO of Nexus Mods.

I like to imagine a fat bald jew not only thinking how to squeeze the fuck out of every penny but there is also probably someone trying to think how to retroactively implement monetization onto old games as well.

I'm honestly shocked Nexus Mods hasn't been taken down (or at least have them try to), is not like they care about the modding community that much given that everything post FO76 was monetized and low quality as fuck.

I can understand a good mod maker wanting compensation for their effort but if they want to make money then I wouldn't suggest mods as a carreer choice.

Manage your fatigue. You get a decent bonus to-hit when its full and a hefty penalty to-hit when its low. Fatigue potions and similar effects are great when you get caught off-guard or have a lengthy fight. There are no power attacks, but spam-clicking is a great way to do no damage and burn all your fatigue. Holding your attacks for a moment or two will make them do more damage and you'll be less likely to burn through all your fatigue on a single enemy. Heavy armor is really heavy, so don't be afraid to mix and match pieces from medium or even light armor if you feel too weighed down.

Trainers are everywhere and are useful for boosting your attributes and getting skills to a useable level. Enchanters normally sell a variety of cheap trinkets like healing amulets or fireball rings in addition to more useful items like intervention and open scrolls. Alchemists are also worth visiting. You can pray at temples to restore attributes or get a small buff and any merchants there will likely sell cure disease potions. Booze also temporarily raises some stats, normally at the expense of others. All service providers give you better prices if they like you more.

Divine/Almsivi Intervention is great if you're stuck in a tough area, but its amazing for getting back to civilization quickly. The scrolls are common and the spells are easy to cast. Mark and recall are rarer and harder to cast, but also come in potion form.

Most of all, just enjoy it. The main quest is by no means urgent and gives you a ton of places to take a break and adventure for a while. Talk to people, ask them about things and rumors. Guards won't chase you across the entire country trying to murder you over a stolen bowl (most of the time they won't even care unless you walk up to them or they see you steal something), so don't be afraid of petty crime. Explore and learn how to get around the world, and have fun.
