The Elder Scrolls

that's a funny way to say 100 sneak crouching
it's a lot easier to get to invisibility than maxing sneak but still, that's illusion's one ability and another skill tree can do it
I mean, eventually you max out the sneak tree, sure. But the most fun I actually had was with using rage spells to make people fucking murder each other.

I'm not saying it's great or anything, but it can be fun. I would recommend mods to pad the spell list though, there's some fun shit out there.

oh yeah, that was fun
i assassinated that one lead agent's kid through making him attack civilians, triggering the guards to take him out

Finally playing Skyrim on PC, I haven't played it since it was still new on PS3. I quite like the survival mode, it really confused me back then why FNV had survival yet Skyrim with it's similar cooking system and plethora of useless food items did not. This along with the temperature system and a lack of fast travel makes setting out for far away objectives actually feel meaningful now. Need to have enough food, sometimes warmer clothes, travel by day, find places to sleep if gets dark or I get too fatigued, and bring cure disease potions or learn that lesson the hard way  again.
Some would say this is needless time-consuming busy-work and they would be correct but I prefer it this way as opposed to always fast travelling everywhere like you could before. Doing that just makes games like this feel hollow IMO. I like how it is now where you can only fast travel via carriage between the major cities and have to go on foot from there.

Anyway I originally came here to ask a question before all that sperging. When is it a good point in-game to tackle the Dawnguard and Dragonborn DLCs? Also what are the main pros and cons of siding with the vampires or the hunters in Dawnguard?

I'm level 25 now, partially completed the thieves guild, just met the greybeards, have yet to travel any further west than Falkreath or north than Whiterun save for a couple of thieves guild Vex and Devlin jobs.

Edit: it's a Breton spellsword build focusing on conjuring, illusion, 1-handed and alchemy.

Vampire pros: justification for taking necromage, stinky doggos
Vampire cons: vampirism
Dawnguard pros: neat weapons, fluffy doggos
Dawnguard cons: less interesting questline
Universal cons: Serana

Thanks. I think the crossbow is going to be the deciding factor. I want it.

Sincere question and not a jab or anything: have you tried backpacking in real life?

I put around 2k hours into Skyrim despite disliking the writing/combat/skills/scaling/everything, then I figured out that I just love backpacking and trail running, haven't touched it since.

Universal cons: Serana
I like her. But I like fish out of water characters.

The nicest touch grass I've ever recieved, no but you're right I should probably try it

Should we just boycott elder scrolls 6? Seriously, just wait until certain youtubers like fudgemuppet, synthetic man, zarich Zacharon and spell and shield make their reviews. If the game is good, or atleast not woke we buy the game, if the the game is bad, we can all just boycott elder scrolls 6.

Seriously, why can't we just be principled In our purchases? Game studios like Bethesda have no right to act like this.

Why even bother giving Bethesda any money? Just pirate that shit if you really want to play it. If you can't because you're a console fag or don't know how to use bit torrent then you should pre-order the game like a good little NPC.

Or if you're a consolefag just simply don't get the game lmao.

No one will boycott it on a large scale, it’s a AAA sequel that people have been waiting 10+ years for. Just hope that it’ll be the point where Todd and Emil are like “we’ve been doing this all wrong”. (:optimistic:)

Starfield being rejected by all but the most niggercattle-y of niggercattle has made me optimistic, I await disappointment.

It's easier for us to organize than for the bethesda bureaucrats to realize what they're doing wrong. The Synthetic man has more than 100k subscribers and millions of people which would share his sentiment. We've waited years for the next elder scrolls, what's another few months for game reviewers? If the elder scrolls 6 is bad, bethesda learns a lesson and the gaming industry gets sent a message, if elder scrolls 6 is good, it will be rather scary for synthetic man(or someone else) to give the go ahead and buy the game. It tells bethesda that they've only received the money because we allowed it with careful deliberation.

...yo.

Will never work. They rarely work generally, especially on a long standing series that hasn't seen another entry in years. It'll sell like hotcakes so long as they don't copy what made Starfield so bad.
This is what happens when you starve a man. They'll eat whatever shit you feed him, thank you, and ask for more.

Bit late, but remember that you can get some upgraded crossbows by doing certain sidequests for the DG; I think they're random, but you can make some really strong crossbows with them.

Also, quick question; doesn't the Anniversary Edition allow you to make new variants of crossbows?

It does, I didn't get the anniversary upgrade though, it didn't seem worth it. It has 2 higher tiers of crossbow IIRC.

Ordinator+Apocalypse+Phenderix+Mysticism.

Seriously, Ordinator is mandatory since it fixes the scaling issue by having your skill level for magic boost effects instead of the spells being static in end result. My last go I used a few race+class overhauls to roll with a Dunmner Sorcerer with heavy armor. Flame on, bitches!
