The Elder Scrolls

Literal actual sea monkeys could do better than Bethesda 2006.

This didn't look good in 2006, and plenty of us said so. The tiny helmet, barrel-shaped breastplate, too-short vambraces, and clashing, tomato-colored sash looked like a middle schooler designed it.
Don't forget the duckfoot boots.

Well, i admit generic armor in Oblivion visually sucks ass.
But the clothing is still good.
Just put some sigil stones and having a 100% spell effectiveness like Julianos want.

One of my autistic habits in Bethesda games is to have a set of civilian clothes when I'm doing a non-combat quest. I don't like walking around a village being slowed down by full battle rattle.

I usually wear a light cuirass and keep a heavy one in case things get hairy.

>elven armor is shit
no shit sherlock, elves are subhuman niggers, if anything you had a good point with the arena rainment, looks very retarded, especially grand champion, true oblivion good armors are the imperial and daedra ones, mythic dawn looks aight too but you need to suck mehunes's cock for that one, i prefer akatosh.

Looked fine in Morrowind. The modders who did the Skyrim version changed very little about its design, and it looked pretty dope.

I just don't think there's any lore-consistent reason for why elves in Cyrodiil wouldn't know that armor should fit your body or that purple and gold look way better together than tomato and neon.

Even with the few armor sets where they did use a reference, the artist was clearly unaware that real armor was worn with quite a bit of padding underneath, so the proportions look all weird, and the helmets are far too small, resulting in the overall look being like an accountant squeezed himself into an ill-fitting halloween costume.

Remastered ebony armor is the sickest fucking thing you can wear*. Daedric looks better than it did in original, but ebony just blows it out of the water.

*it only has one issue - the plume on the helmet becomes transparent when viewed from behind. I'm fairly sure I know what causes this, and it's UE's "blur things that might obstruct the player model" feature. Hopefully it will get fixed.

Guy who made a pretty decent breakdown of the Demon Soul's remaster (I also didn't like it either it felt off at the time), has made a breakdown of Oblivion. Sorry to shill but I like his channel and I think he's worth a watch.
I just saw that video in my recommendations. Another really good video showing the shitty decisions made in a remastered game while making Redditors seethe.

Elven armor also looked mostly fine in Skyrim, even if it was a little goofy. I know the CC stuff gets shit on, but the armor variations genuinely look really nice and I prefer them over 90% of the most common armor mods.

This was really good.
They're right I'm sick of "normies" thinking the bugs and ugly characters are what make these games.
Honestly though? This is the best setup for TES VI. Because bethesda cannot recreate oblivion and people will be expecting oblivion going in to VI.
So when they get the equivalent of Starfield but Skyrim.
Well...
Its gonna be fucking funny.

I've said it before in threads. When gamers eat nothing but dog shit on a plate for a decade on end. The second someone gives them a piece of moldy bread and half a plate of dog shit. They think its the best thing ever. Because they've never known anything but dogshit up to this point.

I know this is off topic but this video dropped with Leonard Boyarsky talking about how New Vegas influenced Outer worlds 2. One slight problem, he never worked on New Vegas, and apparently claims to be the the original creator of Fallout if you read the description. "Fallout 1 / Art director, original game design" and "Fallout 2 / Main story arc, quests, areas, characters" Trying to the steal the thunder of local homosex TIm Cain.

Dawnguard had a rune shield, hammer and axe. Enchanted crossbows, followers and trolls. Another special heal spells too.
Using the radiant elven arrows with Auriel's Bow againt the sun creates damaging sunlights from the sky, which is a cheaper alternative than Storm Call, but only during the day.
Alright I admit that I was wrong about the different gear and I suck cocks
The quests are mirrors of each other but there are some stark differences between the two.
What are these "stark" differences? Aside from the side quests (most of which are radiant, go figure), the quests are nearly the exact same. The major differences really are that the first missions on both are different, and you assault the opposing faction's base. There's nothing to "appreciate" in this DLC, it's lazy. This is also the same problem I had with the civil war, it's largely just Red vs Blu with the same missions.

What a painfully tragic fucking watch. I want my 23 minutes back. Faggot tries way too hard to come off as an eloquent artistic critic. "Old universally good, new universally bad" is the entirety of this shitheap of a video. It was obvious from the very first minute that he never actually played the original and just watched some videos (possibly as basic as let's plays) and/or documentaries about it. On top of that, he contradicts himself multiple times and is actively trying to find problems where there aren't any. Don't know what I expected from someone shoving wojaks into his thumbnails. Ugh.
