The General Thread

So I have a new cable provider and all the channels are different numbers and nothing makes sense, so I've left the tv on the Hub channel because it was showing Animaniacs. There's going to be an Animaniacs marathon tomorrow. I'm going to get Panera for lunch and maybe pick up some beer for myself. I'm so ready to be lazy and veg out.
Also my new place is really cold - even with the heat on - but the shower actually stays hot which I'm not used to at all so that's nice. I'm just going to live in a Snuggie until Spring.

My brother's not going to school today because he "doesn't feel like it." I have about ten more minutes to myself.

My ZMS (zone merchandise supervisor) has a fascination with demo displays, specifically the ones that have little TV screens. "PRESS HERE" to watch a video of the product being sold, that kinda thing. We found one for a Black & Decker screwdriver that was supposed to have gone up before Christmas; we found it in early January. I told him, "I know what to get you next Christmas: a whole wall of those things." He perked up and said, "Yeah! I just think it's so neat that we have that technology for little things like that!"

Just today, I found the monitor on the counter in GM (general merchandise) Receiving, which is kind of inventory home base for us. Along with the monitor were two others from toy displays. He was going to take them home.

I just think it's adorable that he's collecting them.

Adorable yes, but also against company policy.

He got permission from the managers. He doesn't like anything that expensive to be thrown away. ("All that time and money put into something like this, and they just throw it out.") Yeah, Home Office probably would frown down on it, but I doubt they'd demand that my ZMS and the managers be written up for not destroying three dinky display monitors.

So do people grill kielbasa and put it in a bun like a hot dog, or do you smoke it and then slice it up and put it on crackers?
I thought was was the latter :P

My family cooks it, cuts it into pieces and serves it like that. I think it's terrible in general and will eat it to be polite but ehhhh.

I used to eat it all the time when I was little like that, but it was just smoked. It was sort of like salami

Your DM is far nicer than ours was lol.

You know you have a bad back when simply taking a deep breath pops it back in place

Remember that math test I thought I failed the shit out of? Turns out I got a 94 on it. Also turns out I'm right where I need to be on my homework assignments. That means I have all A's on all of my tests in all of my classes.

Scholarships, here I come.

Congrats.

Seriously, I'm on the verge of tears from how happy I am.

Found a code for a Steam game "The Showdown Effect" Beta Version.
