The General Thread

My sister is having trouble understanding the fact that air conditioning costs money. Bitch, I don't see your name on no electric bill. Stop burning my money then calling me a Nazi when I turn the AC off. It doesn't need to run 24/7. I'm freezing all the time and it's really jarring when I come inside from the heat and it's like walking into a meat locker. The thermostat will be on 64. I only need the AC on for a bit when it's really hot. I don't like it running too long. It makes me feel sick.

Find alternate ways to cool off. Or you know, get a job or something.

Her freeloading boyfriend's in for a big surprise if I have a right to this property and can sell it.

You bet I ran my A/C all weekend. It was 112 fucking degrees on Friday.
I feel that we're just getting some of that mid-summer monsoon action here so now it's 110+ out and humid as fuck. It's feels like Satan's taint here in the desert.

*Points and laughs at all the people who talked shit about my city when they're in Summer hell.*
Nature + Karma = FUCK THIS.

I'm acclimated to the dry 110-120 weather we got in the past here but each summer has gotten progressively more humid and gross since the Earth decided to tilt it's axis a few years back.

LOL.
How many old people got hurt from this in Palm Springs?

I don't care what anyone says. I like Baz Luhrmann's Romeo And Juliet.

The only people I know that disliked that movie was Roger Ebert (No surprise) and Doug Walker (again No Surprise). Everyone else views it either a little bit behind or ahead of Moulin Rouge! depending on your view point. The only movie of the Red Curtain Trilogy that I hear gets the most flack is Strictly Ballroom

The funny thing is I dislike most of Luhrmann's movies.

That's really bad and I totally understand not wanting to die from heat stroke. But it was cool here last night and I turned it off. Now it's still a bit cool and she just turned it on.

I got up at 5:30 am yesterday as I had a metric fuckton of stuff to do. Freeloading boyfriend got up at the crack of noon and proceeding to do jack squat. I have told him point blank to leave. And he won't go. I have to go do lots and lots of faxing in a bit. I guarantee he'll still be asleep.

I'm thinking of getting an apartment and telling them both if they want to keep this house it's time to look for jobs. Then they can sit here with no utilities waiting for the sheriff to have them removed.
